I'm watching Zev as he talks to Leon about leaving. He may look calm at first glance but the ripples in his muscles tell a different story. I hear a scream from down the hallway and am up and moving before Zev and Leon even have time to register what's happening. Nothing is going my way. Why couldn't the bouts of insanity in out unmated have ended with my being back.

I find the wolf in question and rip them off of the she-wolf they're attacking. I growl at them getting between them and their prey. Out of the corner of my eye I can see Zev and Leon headed this way. I maybe should have mentioned this was happening. Oh well too late now, I just need to defuse the raging wolf before they take any action.

I grab them on either sid rod their head and force them to look into my eyes. "I'm here, Luna's here," I say soothingly.

They visibly relax and eventually the glint of insanity fades away. It's soon replaced by horror and fear. I pull them into my chest and soothe them as one would a child. "It wasn't you. It was the insanity. You've done nothing wrong," I assume them.

"What is going on here?" Zev asks, the tension clear in his voice.

I roll my eyes at him and say, "We have a bit of a problem with unmated randomly going berserk. I'm quite effective at neutralizing them."

"Why didn't you mention this before Cas?" Zev asks sternly.

I stick my tongue out at him and answer, "Because I rashly assumes that it wasn't going to be a problem after what I thought was the cause died."

"When did this start?" He asks.

"After I was kidnapped apparently," I say. I release the wolf in my arms and they stumble back. Oops, he could not have been comfortable with Zev death glaring him like that. He stands there looking dejected and afraid. This ultimately annoys me so I tell him to go on with his day, to which he scurries off.

"Luna Casmoke," I hear Ember's voice squeak behind me.

I turn to face her and see a gash on her left arm. I swoop to pick her up and start for the infirmary. I can tell that Zev is following whilst Leon is not. When we reach the infirmary I barge in and carefully set her down on the nearest surface. The pack doctor rushes over and immediately begins to work.

"Who is she?" Zev asks. "She doesn't smell like Pack Valentine, but I don't know her."

"She is Ember, an unawakened, half-human, Omega. Ember is Oisin's mate, the one you kicked out for having a weak mate," I answer looking into his eyes. He looks to be in between conflicted and annoyed so I warn, "If there's one thing I won't tolerate from you, Zev,  it is the persecution and mistreatment of omegas."

"I know," he mutters after a while.

"Ember what were you up to?" I ask.

"I was lost, I was going to ask him how to get to the dinning hall from here but he was already like that," Ember answers.

I smile and tell her to follow me. We head towards the dinning hall in a slightly awkward silence. I leave Ember in Covell's hands and then head back to Zev's office with him. When we get there Leon is staring at an unopened envelope that's on the desk. Zev goes straight got it and rips it open. He smiles lightly and I roll my eyes.

"Leon I think it's about time you returned home with your pack," Zev says, somewhat politely. Leon, taking the hint, nods and then exits the office. I sit down across from Zev and give him a look telling him to explain. "Alpha Imislo wants to set up a date for our two packs to have a mating meeting," he says.
