It had been a week since you last seen Kaneki, he wasn't in Kamii recently and it had also been a while since you saw Hide.

Right now you're in your bedroom, editing the pictures that you took of your friend for your project. Adding some light filters and a few color adjustments, it looked beautiful, but I would had been more beautiful if it was Kaneki in it.

After adding the finishing touches, you saved the file and went to a nearby printer shop to print them.

While the pictures were still printing, you spotted Hide across you, looking at his phone. Since your pictures were still printing, you decided to go to Hide and chat for a little while.

"Hide-kun!"

"Ah Y/N-chan, didn't see you for like years!" He smiled.

"It's just been a week Hide-kun." you chuckled and asked

"Why are you here anyway?"

"Oh I'm just printing my internship résumé for the CCG." he said in a nervous tone.

"CCG really?!" You said in shock and continued

"since when are you interested in ghoul stuff???"

"Oh I'm just curious and I just got interested bout em." he scratched his cheeks.

"Is that so" you said in a Sherlock Holmes accent and continued

"anyways, have ya seen Kaneki lately?"

"Yeah actually, he now works in Anteiku."

You were about to reply to Hide until the printer shop employee gave you your pictures. You payed the employee and said farewell to Hide.You also decided to head out to Anteiku to see Ken.

"Welcome to Antei-" you saw the familiar black haired wimp.

"Y/N?"

"Heya Kaneki-kun!" You said cheerfully and you sat on a nearby chair and asked him

"Why didn't you tell me you work here now?"

"Eh I forgot to tell you, haha," he rubbed his chin.

You knew he was lying again , but you go with the flow and chatted with him while he was working.

You guys chatted for so long that the manager gave Ken a short shift. While you were talking to Kaneki  you befriended  his colleagues. You got along very well with his coworker 'Touka', you two really had a lot in common. You and the black haired boy chatted for hours and hours, until it was time for Anteiku to close and the two of you went separate ways.
