This is not an update.
As some of you know, I went to an Hollywood Undead concert on July 26th, 2018.
I watched the opening bands. The first one was One Day Waiting. They were very angry, but super energetic. They did a lot of screamo and growling. I wouldn't personally go to see them live only for my safety (and I'm not 100% into the band). They encouraged moshing (which I am not a fan of) and one member jumped into the mosh. They're crazy and awesome, but not my cup of tea. If you're into that kind of stuff, look them up.
The second opening band was From Ashes To New. They were fantastic. I loved them. I was there to see Hollywood Undead, but fricking loved that band too. They were a lot like HU, but without masks and more singing, less rap. And less... inappropriate... on stage. The members were really nice and hung out after to see fans. I got to hang out with the whole band after the show and got my hat signed by everyone in the band. The one member calls me heart girl and gave me a heart back from on stage and said he would stay in contact when I gave him my number (which he put in his wallet). They were totally awesome and I loved hanging out. It was awesome.
And lastly, Hollywood Undead.... Funny Man flashed us his stomach and chest. Johnny 3 Tears made the mic look like a dick. J-Dog lost a contest with their manager for drinking the 40 faster, so he has to blow the manager. My friend got pulled on stage and played some of Coming In Hot with Charlie and Danny. I got to touch hands with J-Dog, Funny Man, and Johnny 3 Tears. J-Dog took a paper with a quote from me and my number on it and put it in his pocket. Charlie Scene signed my hat. Their new drummer, Greg Garman, is totally awesome. He was outside and greeted fans. He signed my hat near Charlie's signature. We talked and he's also going to stay in contact with me (I gave him my number too). He almost took off his shirt and gave it to me, but then we settled for a signed broken drumstick. He's so awesome. Although I miss Da Kurlzz, he is totally cool. Greg made my night. Hung out. Hugged me. He's the best dude and I'm happy I met him. (<-420 words XD someone call Funny Man) He's totally chill and not a bad dude at all. He told me to do what makes me happy and to stay weird, because weird is unique, and unique is good. He was so polite and nice to me. I told him about how HU saved my prom and showed him my prom picture and he said I looked beautiful. Fantastic dude. Seriously. He really made my night. I'm just.... I can't say how awesome it was to meet him and everything. He's still new, and he's probably the innocent child out of all of them, now. I'm just dumbfounded about that. He's my new favorite member now. Before I met him, my favorite was Kurlzz, then Charlie. Now it's Greg, then Kurlzz. I had the best night interacting with the bands.
As for friends.... I made a lot of friends, too. I made so many new friends. One saved me from falling in a mosh, one bought me a drink, one hung out with me in line to get in, one asked me to be the vocalist in his band... I loved meeting everyone.
The best part of all was..
Just seeing how much music has an effect on us. It's something that unifies people of different ages and backgrounds and genders and everything else that makes us different. Not only that, but it unifies us. Tonight, I gave some band members my number and I wrote something about music. Words I felt reverberating from deep in my heart. Something along the lines of:
"You only truly begin to hear the music when your heart breaks. Music is something beautiful and binding. Music fixes us in ways that the people around us can't do and can't even begin to fathom."
Something like that. I felt the words needed to be heard and so I made them heard. I hope the bands do too.I want to thank One Day Waiting for the experience I got from moshing.
I want to thank From Ashes To New for having patience with me when we were talking.
And, last, but certainly not least, I want to thank Hollywood Undead for their awesome music, entertainment on stage, and for the new drummer. Without him, the experience would just be a bit less awesome.
Actually... I have 1 more thanks to give. I want to thank Greg Garman for meeting and talking with me and the drumstick and for just... over all making my night. Thank you Greg. You're the best and you're my new favorite member. I will be adding you to my list of fanfic people now, so be prepared.
Again, thank you all. Good night, sleep tight, don't let the dead bite.
