Three

After a few weeks of not going to school, I decided to go back and be normal again. I have to go back. I know people are talking about me. I want to hear the rumours spreading about me. I have to talk to my friends now. I need to get my life back on track.

On my way back to school, I reactivated all my social media accounts which I have deactivated the day my parents died. I haven't even talked to my friends. I switched my phone off when they died. I basically fell off the face of the planet when they died. I disappeared.

My family is very private. So keeping the death of my parents to everyone who's not family is easy, especially if you have money. And my family has money.

Well, I'm not rich. Not yet anyway. I get to keep my trust fund when I turn 21. All of my inheritance I'll get once I graduate college. My parents' fortune is currently being handled by my living grandfather. He's in his 60s, very healthy and strong for his age.

I also went back to my condo unit. I can't stay long at my parents' house. Too many memories of them. It makes me cry. My gramps agreed to let me go back to my unit but I had to go home every weekend to my parents' house which is technically mine now.

As I entered the school, I saw people staring at me and whispering with each other. Huh? I wonder what rumour spread about me this time? Dumaan muna ako sa powder room to pee and fix myself before heading to class.

I was inside one of the cubicles when I heard girls entering and I unintentionally heard their chismisan.

"Girl, did you know? Kristia is back! Ano kaya reaction niya na inahas siya ng best friend niya?"

"Alam na ba niya? Kasi diba naka deactivate lahat ng social media niya? And nobody knows where she was the past weeks. Baka di pa niya alam yung scandal na nangyari?"

"That scandal is all over social media last last week. Ano ba naman kasi at sa club na puntahan ng maraming students ng uni sila nag dirty dancing at nag make out. Edi nakita ng lahat yung paglandi ni Zenn kay Richie? Showing everyone that they're cheaters"

"And she can't really blame the alcohol for what happened. Kasi she was sober when she hit the club. And she haven't had any drinks pa when she headed straight to Richie and started dirty dancing with him. And I can't believe that Richie made patol sakanya. And they made out in front of everyone!"

"That girl really does want everything that Kristia has. Kaya naman ng bigla na lang nag disappear si Kristia, inagaw na ni Zenn lahat ng pwede niya maagaw kay Kristia. That girl has no shame noh? Trying her best to steal the spotlight habang MIA bestfriend niya."

"Clearly! Kawawa si Kristia. She's back na but wala na siyang best friend at boyfriend na madadatnan sa pagbabalik niya. Poor girl."

"I can't believe why they have been friends for so long, eh halata naman na manggagamit lang si Zennary. She's just using Kristia for popularity."

"Anyway, let's go na. I can't be late sa Algebra class ko."

Woah! Information overload. I felt dizzy as I go out of the cubicle once I heard na lumabas na yung mga nagchichismisan na mga babae kanina.

I stared at myself in the mirror and saka ko lang nanotice na tumutulo pala ung mga luha ko. I mean who can blame me? I just lost my parents and I lost my best friend and my boyfriend na din pala. And for sure all our friends are on Zennary's side coz they're basically her friends that I became friends with. I just freaking lost everyone I had.

I had to fix my face. My make up was ruined from the tears. I need to appear strong.

"Oh. Kristia! Welcome back! Cute outfit by the way." A girl who just entered smiled at me and went on to the her business. Luckily naayos ko na ung make up ko and di naman ako mukhang umiyak. Napatingin ako sa soot ko and buti na lang maganda outfit ko ngayon para kahit wala na akong friends, mukha pa din akong okay.

I went out of the restroom and started walking towards my class. Funnily enough, I began thinking this is the perfect chance to switch programs. I just had to endure the last two weeks of this semester.

I have been taking up Business Management for my undergraduate studies even when what I really wanted to study is Performing Arts. Ayaw kasi ng parents ko sa gusto ko. Kahit nga magmodel ako ayaw nila. Sayang yung opportunities na naoffer sakin before. But now that they're gone, maybe it's my chance to do the things I want to. Including switching up my program.

I can't stomach going to class. Papalapit pa lang ako sa room ko ng marinig ko ang mga not so subtle bulungan nila. Classmates nga pala kami ni Zennary sa halos lahat ng courses. And same building pa namin ang boyfriend ko. Well technically he is still my boyfriend. We haven't broken up yet.

I got inside the room and natahimik ang lahat. Zennary was seated at the back. I can see her on my peripheral vision. I ignored her and took a seat at the front. Buti na lang nag ring na ang signal bell at pumasok na rin ang professor namin.

Oh my gosh! Buti na lang I only have two classes every Monday. One more class today. And with her. I have to endure. After my first class, I heard the whisperings na naman. Apparently, a jerk was waiting outside the room.

I slowly got up from my seat and headed outside. I saw my boyfriend staring at me like I'm some crazy dream.

"Babe!" oh my gosh! I rolled my eyes on him.

"Ahhhh. Hello. Do you need something from me? My best friend perhaps? Teka, i heard you're banging her already? Don't tell me you already had your few weeks of fun while i was away? You can go on and continue doing each other. Tell your parents good bye from me. I know that you're only staying with me because your parents want you to. You can tell them to kiss our company's partnership goodbye. Hope you have tons of fun with my now ex best friend, ex-boyfriend. I really don't want an arseh*le mansl*t as a boyfriend." He was stunned at my speech.

Now that my parents are gone, I don't have to keep dating the guy they approved for me.

I saw Zennary nearing Richie and I. She has a poker face on. I Can't believe her guts!

"Oh sweetie, coming to collect my now ex boyfriend thanks to you? I almost can't believe the guts you have for stealing my boyfriend. Almost. I was just gone a few weeks and you managed to get in his pants already? Wow! What a sl*t you are. You didn't even bother to be discreet? Shame! Hope his d*ck is enough for you to kiss your dignity and reputation goodbye." I smirked at her speechless form.

"Well then, excuse me. I don't have time for a pathetic boyfriend stealer and a lowly cheater" I need to escape because I might burst into flames soon. I turned my back to them after that.

"Gosh! I almost forgot. Do you want my latest season Chanel purse too? I heard you want everything that I have. So I'm donating it to you if you'd like. At least you won't have to steal it behind my back." Her jaw dropped as fast as her tears did. I just smiled at her sweetly and then walked away. I heard her loud sobs and my now ex boyfriend started chasing and begging me for forgiveness. I ignored him and went inside my next class.

It hurts. It really hurts to have been betrayed. I have no one. I just lost everyone. And I can't even cry in public because I'll look like a loser. I just can't look weak right now.
