The Dance Disaster

A/N: it's Saturday, the day of the homecoming dance.

After Veronica, Archie, and I went shopping today, archie dropped us off at the house.

"So, Archie and I are going out around 8, do you think you'll be able to handle yourself here?" Veronica asked me.

"For the homecoming dance?" I asked. Veronica looked shocked.

"Cheryl and Toni are picking me up at 8, we made plans at lunch yesterday." I said to Veronica, crossing my arms.

"Lunch! I totally forgot oh my god I'm so sorry B." Veronica said pouting.

"That's okay, I sat with jughead and his friends and all six of us are going to the dance together tonight."

"No, Betty. You can't go with them. Cheryl and Toni are riverdale Highs resident bad girls, and sweet pea and Fangs deal drugs! So does jughead!"

"It's to a school dance, Veronica. It's not like we're hanging out at a bar." I said with a scoff.

"No, B. You're coming with my group, or not at all." Veronica said firmly.

"Yeah, anyways. Our group is way more fun." Archie said. "We've got ginger, Tina, Veronica, midge, josie, Valerie, melody, redgie, chuck, moos-"

I tuned Archie out and went upstairs, texting Cheryl on the way.

"Betty, you aren't going with them, I won't allow it!" Veronica shouted after me. "And we'll be here making sure you go with us!"

I smirked as I texted Cheryl. Five minutes later, and red convertible showed up. Cheryl was in the drivers seat, Toni was in the passenger seat.

I walked downstairs and saw Mrs. Lodge sitting at the table reading the newspaper.

"Hey, where's Veronica?" I asked her.

"Ronnie's in her room getting her dress on. Are you going to the dance tonight?" She asked me with a smile.

"Yes, but I need some money for a dress and for food." I told her, biting my lip.

"Oh no problem dear. There's $500 in the octopus dish in the kitchen for you, help yourself." She said, waving her hand in the air, dismissing me.

I quickly ran into the kitchen, grabbed the money, and ran out. As I was coming out, I heard Veronica's door open and saw her come out in a long purple dress that had an open back and a low scoop neckline. She saw me and narrowed her eyes.

I ran up the stairs and climbed out the window, and jumped off the roof, landing right in front of the car.

"Nice landing!" Toni said laughing. I smiled and got in. Cheryl drove off.

After we got our dresses and got our hair done, we went to Cheryl's at 9:00 to get ready.

Cheryl had picked out my dress. It was black with an open back and a leg slit. It went down really low in the front but I didn't care, I looked good in it.

My hair was in a half up half down style, and I had black stilettos on.

Jughead, Sweet Pea, and Fangs showed up at 9:29 in sweet peas black mustang, and we all walked out to join them for the night.

As Betty walked out of Cheryl's house, she completely took my breath away. All three of them got into Cheryl's car to follow us to the restaurant where we would be eating before the dance.
