I ran down the stairs, then up another staircase to Cheryl's room.

"Cheryl!" I pounded on the door.

Cheryl came and opened the door, she looked pissed.

"What the hell do you want, jones? We're kinda busy in here, and you're supposed to be watching Betty." Cheryl said with a scowl as Toni came up behind her.

"That's the thing, I think something is wrong, she locked herself in the bathroom and she's looking for something in there, you don't have anything sharp, do you?" I asked, my voice filled with worry.

Cheryl's eyes widened. "No. There's nothing in the extra bedrooms, unless she were to break the mirror."

"Oh my god." I turned and ran back down the stairs, cheryl and Toni came after me.

"My god, what did you do to her?" Toni asked me.

I didn't respond, just ran up the stairs and into the room to see the bathroom door open and Betty was no where to be found.

"Betty?!? Betty!" Cheryl yelled.

We ran down the stairs and desperately started searching every room trying to find her.

I finally found her in one of the extra kitchens, sitting on the counter, a knife in her hand.

"Betty?" I called out.

She looked up at me, tears streaming down her face.

"Hey, can you do me a favor and put the knife down?" I asked her, smiling.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw Toni and Cheryl appear in the doorway, Cheryl saw the knife and put her hand over her mouth, crying.

I stepped closer to Betty, and she brought the knife up to her neck.

"No. Don't come any closer to me." She said firmly. "Just leave, please. Just let me do this."

I stepped back, but didn't leave. "I'm sorry, Betts. But I can't leave, I can't let you do this."

"Why?" She asked me, sobbing. "I just want it to be over already."

"No you don't, Betty." I said back in a soft voice. "You have so much to live for."

She pressed the knife tip up to her neck. Cheryl gasped.

"Oh yeah?" She asked me. "Like what? Every little thing that happens brings back memories, and they're detailed, too. I said I don't remember anything from my childhood, but I do. Every god damn thing that my dad did to me, I remember it, in perfect detail! Every medicine I take doesn't help, every doctor I visit tells me the same thing, but nothing works! I just want to end it so I stop seeing him, it needs to be over." She said sobbing.

"No, it doesn't have to be over." I said back to her. "Even though your dad did terrible things to you, he's gone, he's locked up, and he can't hurt you ever again."

She looked up at me, pure disgust plastered on her face. I winced. She never looked at me like that before.

"You think he's locked up?" She said laughing. "You think he's gone away and he can't hurt me anymore? You're wrong! They never caught him! He's still out there, and he comes in my dreams, saying that he's gonna come back for me." She broke down crying. "But he can't come back if I'm not here." She said, pressing the knife harder to her neck. Cheryl was now sobbing too.

"Betts. I'm so sorry. He deserves to be locked up for what he did to-"

"You don't even know what he did!" She screamed at me. "You can't even begin to imagine!" She dropped her head down sobbing.
