A Day Out

Elizabeth stood quietly at the window, looking down at the cloudy world below her. She shifted her gaze up a bit to see the morning sun glowing brightly in the distance. She took in a deep breath of the morning air and exhaled it out. Elizabeth decided instead of closing the window like she always did when she was getting ready for the day, she would leave it open for a change.

She walked over to her open closet and began to search for clothes for the new day. While browsing, a white dress that was pushed to the back of her closet caught her eye.

It was a casual white dress that stopped at Elizabeth's knees and had a blue ribbon around the waist. There was nothing special to the dress, but Elizabeth felt that it was the perfect thing to wear and had the perfect hat to go with it. Elizabeth pulled out a straw hat that also had a blue ribbon tied around it. She threw on a pair of white flats and quickly rushed out the door.

As the goddess rushed down the white halls, she felt her heart begin to beat faster and faster as the thought of spending the whole day with Meliodas consumed her mind. Before she knew it, she was grinning ear to ear and a small tint of pink spread across her cheeks.

Time skip

"I wonder where Meliodas is." Elizabeth said to herself. "I'm certain this is the spot he told me to meet him at."

Elizabeth stood in the middle of an open meadow she had never seen before. Meliodas had told her to meet him at this spot. At first she argued that they could just meet up at a nearby village or just go together. But Meliodas argued with her of course, saying that it had to be that spot or else his surprise wouldn't work.

The goddess's mind began to race with ideas of what Meliodas had planned for their day together.  The sudden thought of Elizabeth not being properly dress for her date with Meliodas suddenly crossed her mind.

The goddess shook her head. The date hadn't even started yet and she was already overthinking things. "Just relax Elizabeth. Sure it's been a long time since you and Meliodas spent some time alone together, but that doesn't mean you have to stress over everything. Your date will go absolutely fine and you and Meliodas will both have a great time....I hope."

"Who are you talking to?" A voice behind Elizabeth said.

"Oh it's you Meliodas.Jeez, you scared me. Don't sneak up on me like that." The goddess said embarrassed.

"I'm sorry, did I make you wait long?" Meliodas asked.

Elizabeth shook her head. "I actually just got here."

"Good to hear. Well, shall we begin our date?"Meliodas stretched out his hand for Elizabeth to take. The goddess giggled and took the demon's hand. Meliodas began to lead Elizabeth threw the open meadow.

"So, where are we going?" Elizabeth asked.

Meliodas smiled. "Excited are we?"

The goddess smiled. "I'm very excited. It's been to long since we've had some alone time together."

"We could always have more alone time together." Meliodas added in.The goddess's smile faded and her expression sadden. "Meliodas... you know I-"

"I know,"He cut her off."You have your duties and so do I. I was only joking. Let's not talk about work, it brings down the mood."

Elizabeth's smile returned to her face. "You're right."

The couple continued to walk threw the open meadow as the sun beamed down on them. Elizabeth pointed out small animals that lived in the woods as they walked and talked about how adorable they were. Suddenly, Meliodas turned his direction and started to lead Elizabeth threw the woods.
