A Forgotten Bond

"Ahhhhh!"Zeldris screamed as he charged at his elder brother.Meliodas only scoffed at him and swang his sword at him.Zeldris was sent flying and crashed into the ground with his sword falling next to him.

"You're gonna have to do more then just yell in battle"His eldest brother told him.They were doing their usually afternoon spar that they did since Zeldris was able to pick up a weapon.

Zeldris rubbed his head in defeat."Forgive me brother.I will work on my stance and I shall be more prepared next time."His brother only looked at him with his cold expression,without any sympathy."You better or I'll just train Estarossa."Meliodas smirked at the end of his sentence.

"No!Please don't stop training me!I promise I'll get better!I"ll even get stronger then Estarossa!"Zeldris screamed.He felt his blood boil a bit at his brother's words.

Meliodas let out a cold laugh and tilted his head at his younger brother."And just how much faith should I put into your words?"

Zeldris was now on his feet,staring his elder brother in the eye with determination."All of your faith."This made Meliodas roar with laughter as he walked past his brother with a hard pat on the back."Very well then.Do not make me regret putting faith into those words Zeldris."

As Meliodas walked away Zeldris watched his brother.Even though Meliodas was tough on him,Zeldris looked up to Meliodas.He believed Meliodas was the strongest demon and was a right hair to the throne.He felt honored to be called Meliodas brother.Zeldris wished that one day he could make his brother proud and maybe be as strong and feared as him.But he knew his brother would always out rank him in everything but that will never stop him from trying.

Zeldris took one last glance at his eldest brother and then began to work on his stance for the next time they fight.Next time he will be ready.And he will make his brother proud.

**Present time**

Meliodas head hung low and he stood there without motion.The wind pulled on his hair and clothing as his younger brother stood in front of him with fire in his eyes.Meliodas lifted his head to met his brother's eye.As soon as he did he could feel the anger that surrounded his brother.

"Why are you here Zeldris?"Meliodas asked.Not breaking his gaze.

Zeldris gritted his teeth and his fists began to shake."You know damn well why I'm here Meliodas."Meliodas could hear the hate in his brother voice.He knew he was mad,and he had every right to be.The brother he looked up to so much was now a traitor and a enemy to them.Meliodas was surprised that Zeldris didn't just attack him on the spot.

"How could you?"Zeldris asked as he held the tears that were stinging his eyes."How could you betray your own kind?Even kill two of your own comrades.I don't understand.Why?Why would you do this!"Meliodas didn't reply.He only held his gaze at his brother.

"It's that goddess isn't it?"

Something inside Meliodas made him tense up and he could start to feel his blood boil."It's because of that wrenched goddess that you're like this isn't it?!"Zeldris wasn't holding back his emotions now.Pain and anger filled his words."I'll kill her!I'll kill her for making you like this!That infernal goddess Elizabe-"

Meliodas grabbed Zeldris by the throat before he could finish his sentence.He stared in fear as his elder brother stared at him with dark and angered eyes."Don't you dare say anything about her again.If you do I will go after that little vampire of yours."Zeldris tensed up and he chocked to get his words out."D-d-d-don-t-t you d-dare t-t-ouch her."Meliodas dropped Zeldris and he fell on his knees,gasping for air."Why did you come Zeldris.Why didn't you just attack me?"Meliodas asked with a stern,cold voice that made Zeldris body shiver."I want answers.I want to know why you left and betrayed the demon clan.Why you abandoned me."His last words were mumbled a bit but Meliodas still heard them.Meliodas still stared at his brother with his same gaze.

"Elizabeth didn't make me leave.I left out of my own choice.So don't you dare EVER say that about her again.And I didn't abandoned you.I had nothing to do with you."Meliodas said this without any sympathy in his voice.Meliodas words shook Zeldris to the bone.He felt his world come crashing down on him.He now didn't hide his tears.He quickly rose to his feet and charged at his brother.Meliodas didn't move a inch as Zeldris weakly punched his chest.

"What do you mean you didn't have anything to do with me!You meant everything to me!You were my older brother and my role model!I looked up to you so much and I even cared about you!I would risk my life for you!I would do anything for you to praise me or tell me I did a good job!I would do anything for you!You.........you...........you....."Zeldris words began to fade as he dropped to his knees again.His arms still bounded in fists and on his brother's chest.Tears streaming down his face as he looked at the ground."Do I really mean nothing to you?"

Meliodas only stayed quit.He knew that Zeldris looked up to him but he never knew this much.He didn't know he had destroyed his little brother's world when he left.He had never thought much of his little brother.He only thought of him as a younger and weaker version of himself.Of course that was what he thought of his other brother too.Meliodas was always mean to both of them and never showed any love towards them for he didn't know what love was until he met Elizabeth.Did he really mean that much to him?

Zeldris all of a sudden got up and hang his head low.His eyes hidden so that his brother couldn't see his tears."I'll be leaving now.And don't worry I won't say you here.I'll keep my mouth shut and just take orders.After all that's all I'm good for."Before Meliodas could say anything to him Zeldris disappeared in a whirl of darkness.

So many things happened in such a short time period.Meliodas didn't know what to feel or say anymore.His whole world had just turned upside down.He couldn't think of his brother the same after hearing what he just said to him.

"Meliodas!"A woman's voice sent him out of his trance.A girl with silver hair and wings was flying towards him."There you are!I've been looking all over for you!Huh?Meliodas are you alright?You have tears on your face."Meliodas then felt the dripping of tears fall of his face.He quickly wiped them away and gave Elizabeth a smile."Yeah I'm fine.Nothing to worry about"

"Alright.Oh how was your day?Did you have fun?"She asked with a cheerful grin."Yeah but I feel like it could of been better with you there."He said walking next to her."I'm sorry.How about me and you come back tomorrow and you can show me everything you did."

Meliodas grabbed Elizabeth's hand and gave her his biggest smile."That sounds like a wonderful idea."As the two walked threw the field, Zeldris words still rang inside Meliodas's head.He wondered what will happen when he must face his brothers in the war.
