12 hours remain
"I'm leaving Elizabeth! I'll meet you at the meeting spot!" Meliodas called out from behind the bathroom door.
"Alright!" Elizabeth called back in the cheeriest tone she could muster up.
She waited until she heard the door to her bedroom shut and the smile she had forced on her face immediately vanished without a trace. She let out a long sigh and stared blankly at the girl looking back at in her in the mirror.
Elizabeth eyes were puffy and dark circles laid underneath them. Her hair looked extremely dirty even though she had took a shower yesterday and her whole body seemed to be drained completely of energy. Her body slouched over the sink as she continued to star blankly at her reflection.
We will have no choice but to eliminate the demon clan
Elizabeth shook her head violently as a way to get the thought out of her.
But of course it didn't work.
The faces of everyone appeared again in Elizabeth's mind. A part of her was in rage that they all had given up so easily, but the other part of her understood why they agreed.
They all had people they wanted to protect, so they didn't mind killing off a clan to save those people.
Elizabeth also had people she wanted to protect and she would do anything to protect them, but her mind still fought the wretched idea away.
The others might be able to live with the sin, but the silver haired goddess could never.
Even the thought of it made her feel sick.
Elizabeth broke out of her trance when she felt something wet hit her hand that rested on the side of the sink. She looked down to see a small drop of water. The silver haired goddess looked at the mirror to see that was she was crying.
She quickly wipped her tears away and gave the best fake smile she could as she stared back at herself.
Her smile quivered a bit, but she acted as if she didn't notice.
Elizabeth took a quick shower and threw on a white sleeveless shirt that exposed her back and showed off her wings a bit. Her black leggings tightly, but gently, hugged her skin as she tied a ribbon around her cloth shoes.
She looked at herself one more time before exiting the bathroom.
Her eyes were still a bit puffy but no one but her would be able to tell. Her body seemed to have a little more energy and she put a fake smile on her face.
You'll be fine, She thought to herself. Just smile and it'll be fine.
As the apostle goddess exited the bathroom she walked over to her bedroom's door and was about to open it when a maroon tie that lied on the wooden table caught her eye.
She walked over and picked up the tie. As soon as she held it near her face she immediately smelled Meliodas's scent. His pleasant scent brought a small smile on the silver haired goddess's face.
She wondered if Meliodas was planning on wearing the tie, but of course changed his mind last minute. Elizabeth was a bit shock to see that he was deciding if he should wear it. Meliodas really never wore ties and didn't really like them that much. He only wore them when they were needed for a formal event.
A giggle escaped Elizabeth's mouth when she thought of the blonde demon. Then the sudden memories of the night prior flooded her mind. She remembered the shocked expression the demon had when she suddenly ran into the room, tears running down her face and her body shaking like a leaf.
