The Lady and the Vampire Love Story

Chapter 4: Henry and Sophia's lunch date

*Three days later in Springfield, Illinois at the Todd's house that morning*
~Sophia Smith's POV~

I was in my nightgown walking towards my screen so I may change with my sister's help in helping me out with my corset, so then I picked a dress that would bring out my eyes I'm glad that I'm not really doing anything today. That's when a maid came into my room and told me that a man named Henry Sturges's is here to see me, I stopped moving for a second and peeked my head out and said"Oh can you ask him to wait for me in the lobby I'm almost finished," then she nodded before going to do what I instructed.
Sophia's outfit:

After thanking Annabelle I ran off in an almost lady like run just to meet with Henry downstairs. I hold the railing as my other hand holds my dress and I walk down the stairs smiling at him I said"Well Mr. Sturges your a very persistent man have you come here with news," then Henry helped me down the last 3 steps before keeping my hand in his and he said"I'd be most delighted if you would join me for our lunch date today say around noon," I then giggled and agreed to meet with him in 4 hours today for lunch.
*In the Todd's sitting room that morning around 10:30 a.m. in Springfield*
~Mary Todd's POV~
After waking up and getting dressed I was met with Annabelle Smith one of my best friends from childhood we were gonna into town with Senator Douglas Annabelle and I need to grab somethings from certain stores. As for Sophia she told us that she has a lunch date at noonish that's in like 2 1/2 hours from now, but that's great to know that she's found a man to love.
~Annabelle Smith's POV~
I've never seen my little sister run so fast to meet a gentleman who calls on her and asks her to have lunch with him in town. But she's been waiting to find her true love it's hard to think that she's waited this long for him. Anyways Mary and I are going into town with Senator Douglas today.
*Later on that noon in town at a town restaurant with Henry and Sophia*
~Sophia Smith's POV~

I'm in town now tying my horse to one of the post near a stable in town while I walked towards the restaurant that Henry and I would be eating at, so then as such happened I held my parasol and walked towards Henry he was waiting for me and he was holding flowers for me. Well he's certainly a gentleman but at the same time I love him so much I can't live without him.
~Henry Sturges's POV~
Oh, she looks absolutely beautiful yes she does I'm so glad she accepted my lunch invitation with me today. She was walking towards me she looked absolutely beautiful in her dress, she reminds of my wife Eliza before Adam killed her when he turned me into a vampire. But that was all in the past I must move on Sophia and I will have a happy ending.
I gave Abraham his target in this town I'm hoping he has a contingency plan.
~Sophia Smith's POV~
This was enjoyable to say the least their are some vampires here in Springfield it's dangerous I had to protect Mary from these creatures. As a vampire hunter it's my job to kill these monsters who slaughtered my parents that night though I have a feeling is a vampire as well but not by choice. He's just not telling me risking him of being exposed.
*Meanwhile at the store Abraham works at with Mary Todd and Annabelle*
~Annabelle Smith's POV~

I was with Mary Todd we were getting a few things that we needed, I realized that the General Store were going to is where Abe works I'm also well equipped with guns and knives under my dress just Incase something happens. I'm just hoping Sophia is also well prepared, their are a few vampires in this town, so once we got in I saw Abe organizing the shelves behind the counter.
Then I walked up to the counter linking my arms with Mary and said"Excuse me sir do mind helping two young ladies out," then Abe said"Of course Madam," then Mary gasped and said"Well I've never been called Madam none the less Miss," then Abraham turned around and then he jumped from the counter and stopped Mary from leaving the store.
Oh Abraham Lincoln has fallen in love with Mary.
Mary and Annabelle in store:

~Mary Todd's POV~
Annabelle and I went into town to pick up some things while Douglas was out doing political things. I was with Annabelle we were getting a few things that we needed, I realized that the General Store where her friend works at. I'm just hoping Sophia is also well prepared, their are a few vampires in this town, so once we got in I saw a man organizing the shelves behind the counter.

I was organizing the shelves in Mr. Speed's store when I heard the bell of the door open. I turned and saw Annabelle and her friend who I've never met before. But she's so beautiful and amazing and resourceful young woman.
