12 Years Later

Cecelia is 18 today. It seems like it was only yesterday that I was tucking her in to bed and telling her that there weren't monsters in the closet. She was beautiful. She had long brown wavy hair. She still had those eyes, though. Her father's eyes. The Doctor's eyes. A Timelord's eyes. She knew she was a Timelord, we told her and explained everything to her. Even though she knew of her powers, she didn't seem to indulge in them, she kept them at bay. The only sign of them was her extreme intelligence. She showed great interest in astronomy and she and her dad would stay up late into the night, looking up and studying the stars. We were planning a big day for her today. I heard her running down the stairs, probably exited for today.

"Mum!"

"In here sweetheart"

She walked into the room and sat down next to me. "So, what are we doing today? What's the big surprise?"

"You'll have to wait and see" I laughed and she smiled.

The Doctor walked in and said, "Hun, did you get the post yesterday?"

"Yes"

"That's strange. There's a letter here. There's no post on Sunday though." he read the address and said, "Cecelia, it's for you. Probably a birthday card by the looks of it. He handed her the blue envelope and she opened it. As she read it Mallupus climbed on top of her lap and started purring. She pet him as a bewildered look appeared on her face.

"Dad, this letter makes no sense. It's just a bunch of numbers."

"Anything else?" he asked with rising curiosity

She looked at it, "It just that and it says 'Bad Wolf' what does that mean?"

The Doctor and I looked at each other worriedly and he snatched the letter out of her hands. He studied it and then his face lit up as if he'd just put together the last piece of a huge puzzle.

"It's been following us. It followed us all those years ago in the other universe, and now its here. I don't think that message was just for you and me, Rose- it was for Cecelia too! Oh..." He paused and banged his head with his hand, "How could I not have noticed- all this time! Mallupus! It translates to Bad Wolf mal-bad and lupus is latin for wolf. It was like this from the start. And these numbers there not random. They're coordinates and a date. He needs us."

"Who does?"

"The Doctor. But how can we get to him? I don't have the TARDIS anymore. He has to be coming for us!"

"Actually, dad, I need to show you something." Cecelia said and we followed her out of the house and down a few blocks until we came to an abandoned warehouse. She led us around back and opened the door. We went inside and she led us downstairs. There was nothing down there but a red phone box. There was nothing in the box but a pay phone. She went over to it and opened the door.

"Cecelia, what is that?"

"It's my TARDIS"

The Doctor and I looked at each other. Then I said, "Sweetheart, I know we told you stories but not just any kind of call box can travel through time and space."

"I know that mum. It's not just a regular phone box. Come in" She saw that we didn't believe her so she went inside. As soon as she stepped inside she disappeared. We could see through the glass walls of the box and there was still just a phone. But she went inside and we didn't see her. I stepped closer and looked inside. I was shocked. It wasn't like I hadn't seen 'bigger-on-the-inside technology before, it was just shocking to see it here. We stepped inside-amazed.

The Doctor looked around the large console room, "Cece, where did you get this?"

"Dad, I didn't get it anywhere. I built it. You know when I told you I was in the astronomy club after school? Well I was for a while, but it got boring. Nothing like what you and mum tell me. So, I found this place on the way home one day and just got the idea. It was like she was telling me to build her and she guided me through every step. I finished it a week ago, but I haven't flown her yet. What do you think?"

"You. Are. Brilliant!" he said and he ran over hugging her.

She was laughing with happiness, "Will you help me fly her?"

"I sure will" he said.

This was all happening so fast. A few minutes ago everything was normal. Now we get a strange letter with coordinates and suddenly we have a TARDIS. I wasn't buying it.

"Doctor, what if it's a trap?"

"Well then we have another adventure coming for us!"

Cecelia got excited and started playing with some of the buttons and knobs on the console. I pulled the Doctor aside, "Doctor, its different now. It's not just you and me anymore we have her. She is our daughter. I don't want her to get hurt"

"I know. Me neither. I will protect her with all my might. Don't forget she's as old as ypu were when you started travelling with me."

"Yes, but you are much older now. And so am I. We're not young anymore we can't protect her as well."

"I know that, but Rose, we're off on another big adventure and it's for her. She is a Timelord whether you like it or not. She should be able to do the things a Timelord was born to do. Just look at what she did all on her own" He pointed all around this new TARDIS. It was amazing. The walls were a really soft bluish-white and they resembled the original TARDIS's walls with circular panels along them. The main console sat on a raised platform of crystal-like glass and the tall glass cylinder in the center was tall and beautiful. It was truly amazing. "She can do great things. The Doctor can't do everything himself. His time will come and the universe will be in need of someone else to save them time and time again. She can do it. I know she can"

I looked deep into his eyes and then looked at Cecelia smiling. She was so excited. "I know she will"

"Alright! Cece, start her up!"

She pressed all these buttons and then took out the letter and typed in the coordinates. "Ready?" she said anxiously.

"Ready"

She looked over to me, "Ready!" I said

"Allons-y" and with that she pulled the lever and sent the TARDIS whizzing off across space.
