We looked at each other not really sure if we were imagining this, or if it was real. The Doctor took the key that was in the note out of his pocket and looked at me wishfully before he put it in the lock, turned it and was able to push the door open. We stepped into the TARDIS and looked around; it looked so different than it did before. But one thing was still the same. The main controls and the engine- a big, beautiful glass cylinder right smack dab in the middle of it. The two of us stood there with our mouths open. Still in shock and not even turning my head to face him I said, “Doctor?”

                “Yeah, rose?”

“We’re- We’re in- We’re in the TARDIS!” We looked at each other and then back at the TARDIS, then back at each other. Out of nowhere we just start laughing hysterically and we just hugged each other. We stood there like a bunch of nutters for a minute and then I went to go get our suitcases. As I turned around to head out the door I noticed another note stuck to the door in the same blue envelope as the note Tony gave me. I opened it and it read: Well Rose you found it. It’s here for you and the Doctor to use as one last proper trip. It’s set to bring you wherever you want and when you’re done she’ll know where to take you and then she’ll return to me. I hope you have a great time! Geronimo!! There was another key in that letter too. I gave the note to The Doctor who was still standing there dumbfounded and I left to bring in our suitcases. When I came back in I couldn’t find the Doctor anywhere, but I knew he hadn’t left. I brought our suitcases to my old room. I stopped in the doorway. It wasn’t like the rest of the TARDIS, it wasn’t new. It looked the same as I left it all that time ago when I was still travelling with him. There was one difference though. On my bed there was a slight indentation on the edge, as if someone repeatedly sat there and just stared around the room. I guess it was The Doctor after he lost me. I looked in the closet, some of my old clothes were still there.

I left our suitcases and travelled further down the hall. There was another door on my right and I opened it. Inside there was a large bed and a dresser with a bunch of picture frames on it. The pictures were all different, but had the same people in them. There was a pretty girl with long red hair and a funny looking guy who was sometimes in nurse scrubs and sometimes dressed as a Roman. There was another woman too. She was tall and had big curly yellow hair. They all looked so happy. And there was another man too! Not in many pictures- actually, he was just in this one. He was the same man I saw at the wedding with the tweed jacket, suspenders, and that silly bowtie! He must have been the one who gave Toby that letter! After seeing this I needed to find The Doctor.

I left that room and preceded down the hall to a few other rooms, which I assumed to be Martha and Donna’s rooms. I passed other rooms with a library, a museum-looking place, and a pool! Then I saw it. It was the door at the very end of the hall. It was the oldest door I’d seen. I knew right away whose it was. I knocked but there was no answer so I went inside. The room was dark and very unlike all the other rooms. There were no pictures, there was just a bed. A bed that I could tell was only slept on one side and looked hundreds of years old. I sat on it and looked around the room. I looked at the pillow (the only pillow that looked used) and underneath it I noticed the tiny corner of some piece of paper. I picked it up and saw that it was a picture. It was the only picture in the room. I t was a picture of me. It was crinkled, like it had gotten wet before. I didn’t even realize that I was crying until I saw my tear plop down on the picture. And then I knew why the picture was crinkled.

I left his room and went back to the main room of the TARDIS. The Doctor was standing there and said, “Ah! Rose! So, where to now?” I didn’t say anything, I just handed him the picture I found and hugged him and squeezed him so close to me. I felt his arms wrap around me and he whispered in my ear, “I never stopped missing you. I never stopped remembering you. I never stopped wanting you.” Then he pulled back just so that he could look into my eyes and say, “I never stopped loving you” and he kissed me and I kissed him and for a minute it felt like nothing else in the world mattered. I didn’t care if I was in the TARDIS or what we were doing or what had just happened not even an hour ago. All that mattered was that I was in his arms and he loved me and I loved him, and we were together at last.

“I don’t care” I said, “Anywhere’s great as long as I’m with you”

1 “WHOOSH, WHOOSH, WHOOSH” later

                “Where are we?” I asked

“Why don’t you see for yourself” he said.

I grabbed his hand and ran out the door.

“New World! This was one of my favorite places Doctor!”

“Yup! New New York to be exact. The very same meadow we laid in the first time I brought you here”

We spent the whole day lying on the grass in each other’s arms remembering all the things we did and anticipating all the things we will do in the future. When it got dark, and a bit chilly, he put his coat around me and we sat there watching the starts and remembering when we once didn’t know if we’d ever see the stars again, when they were all going out, when the darkness was coming. But now they are here and so are we, just like old times.

“Doctor” I said, “You know, there is one thing you and I have never done.”

“What’s that?” he asked.

“Well, Doctor Tyler allow me to escort you to the bedroom and I’ll show you”

We spent that night, our wedding night, in the TARDIS just floating through space. It was the best night of my life and I’m guessing by his reaction, his too. We spent the rest of our honeymoon travelling around the universe and it was fun. It was weird though, not having any bad guys to stop or defeat or any helpless race to defend. At the end of our trip the TARDIS brought us home, only it wasn’t my mum and dad’s house it brought us to. It brought us to this little house in a town just outside London. When we got back we used the key from the second letter to unlock the front door, and sure enough the key fit! It was our new home. For just me and the Doctor to start our new life together. We heard that familiar whooshing sound and turned around just in time to see the TARDIS leaving us- for good this time.

3 Months Later

“Rose that is such good news!” My mum said, “I’m so happy for you”

                “Thanks mum” I said.

“What’s the matter sweetheart, what’s wrong?”

                “I’m scared, mum.”

“Theres nothing to be scared about Rose. It’s a wonderful thing that’s happened!”

“Yeah I know but I’m not sure if the Doctor will feel the same way about it”

                “You haven’t told him yet?”

“No mum, I haven’t. I don’t know how he’ll react. I don’t know how he feels about this and I’m scared.”

“Rose, he is going to be so so happy with this news. Why shouldn’t he? You need to go home right now and you need to tell him. There’s nothing to be afraid of, sweetie, really. Everything will be fine. It’s just another big adventure for you two. Go on- tell him!”

“Ok mum, I’ll go tell him. See you later.”

                “Bye, darling!”

I was all nerves all the way home and finally when I got home, he wasn’t there. I waited for him to come home and when he did he could sense that something was off. “Rose?” he said but I didn’t answer him just yet. “Rose, what’s wrong? Are you hurt, did something happen?”

                “No, Doctor, I’m fine”

                “What is it then?”

                I hesitated before I replied, “I- I’m pregnant”
