I raced downstairs and picked up the phone and dialed my mum- no answer. Then I tried my dad- no answer. There was nothing else to do so I called the police, even though this was far beyond them. There was no answer from the police either. I ran outside to call for help, but nobody was outside. There were no people or cars driving down the street. The sky grew darker and I realized that either I was dreaming, or my dream had become my reality. I didn’t know where to go. Then I saw him. Standing at the end of the road just standing there, like he always had. I ran towards him and I saw him turn the corner. I ran faster to catch up with him. I turned the corner and there he was still a hundred yards ahead of me. every time I turned a corner, following him he’d be so far ahead of me I don’t think I’d ever catch up. Then, out of breath I turned the next corner. This was it. It was the tunnel I saw in my dream. Then I stopped short as I saw him ahead of me. That man, that terrible dark man. He just stood still there watching me. I felt uneasy. I heard a Cecelia cry. I started to panic and I looked at him again. All he did was tilt his head to the side as he watched me search helplessly for my baby. I ran out of the dark tunnel right past the man in black. Not even caring that he stood there watching me. I looked around for her but I didn’t see her. I didn’t see anyone. The streets were empty and dark. I didn’t know where I was but I just kept running. I came across an empty lot and I felt the air chill and I could see my breath in front of me as I exhaled deeply. I didn’t know where to go. I just stood there and listened. I turned around and saw the man in black had followed me.

“What do you want?!” I screamed

He just stood there. He didn’t do anything, didn’t say anything. Then he looked up at a tall building. I looked up too. Then I saw her. She was crawling on the edge of the balcony 10 stories up. I ran as fast as I could, but it wasn’t fast enough. Her hand slipped and I saw her falling and I heard her crying. Her crying got louder and louder. “No!” I screamed, “Nooooooooo!”

She lay on the ground. She was gone. He did this. He took my baby from me. I held my little girl in my arms and let the tears stream down my face. “Why?!” I screamed at him, “Why did you do this? She’s just a baby! Why did you do this?!”

He didn’t answer me. He disappeared and I sat there holding her and crying uncontrollably. I heard loud bangs inside the building and heard muffled shouts. I picked myself up and went in to look, still carrying my motionless daughter. It was him. The Doctor was tied up against a wall, gagged and bound. I ran over to him and showed her to him. He started crying and buried his face in his knees. I lifted his head and removed the gag and as many of the binding ropes as I could. “Rose” he said nervously. I looked at his face and saw that he was looking forward, across the room. I looked up too and stared right at the man in black. He just stood there, like he was waiting for something. “What do you want? Why did you do this to her? She’s just a baby. Why did you have to take her?”

He spoke for the first time, “I had a theory. I needed to see if I was right.”

“Well, it must be one hell of a theory to kill a little baby girl over! You bloody bastard!”

I felt a trembling in my arms and figured it was the shock. I looked down at her and saw her skin beginning to shine. “Doctor!” He looked over and looked amazed. Her skin was glowing brighter and Brighter. Then, all of a sudden the light shot out of her hands and head. The force was so strong and the light so bright I had to shield myself. All three of us watched in amazement until  it stopped and in my lap landed a baby. She was crying. She was so different. She didn’t look like Cecelia.

“What did you do?” shouted the Doctor at the man in black.

“I proved a point” and then he vanished.

“Doctor, what’s happened?”

He stared down at the baby and said, “Cecelia. She- she regenerated.”
