1 year earlier

“Doctor!” Amy yelled to the Doctor as she opened the door to the TARDIS and peeked in to see the him sitting on the stairs, “Aren’t you coming?”

“Yeah, I’ll be out in a minute just hold on a moment”

“Ok, but don’t blame me if I wonder off all on my own and get lost- ‘cause it’ll still be your fault.” She turned out of the TARDIS.

Rory popped in and said, “I’ll keep an eye on her”

“Good Rory, just don’t get lost yourself either” Rory went after Amy and the Doctor was left alone sitting on the stairs. A tear was forming in his eye. “Welcome to the world little Cecelia.” He had felt it too. The same connection the human Doctor felt before. But instead of pain he felt happiness. He could feel that she was born. But not just that. He felt something more. He felt the existence of another Timelord. He couldn’t be sure but he thought that she was- he felt it. Atleast he thought he felt it. ‘It has to be her’ he thought. But he had to be sure.

I stared at my sweet little baby, amazed. She looked so different. I started crying. I lost my beautiful girl. But now I have another beautiful girl. I can’t think of her as the same girl but I know she is. It’s like when the Doctor changed. I didn’t know who he was but it turned out great. Actually really great. He’s got some really great hair now. Anyways- I’m still thinking about the man’s haunting words “I proved a point” I understand what that means now. Cecelia is a Timelord or something like it. But how’d it happen? The Doctor is human, I’m human. He must know.

I was about to ask him when he said, “C’mon let’s go. Let’s get Cecelia out of here.” He stood up and helped me up as I held the now crying Cecelia. We noticed a difference as soon as we stepped out of the building. It was bright and sunny and there were cars passing along the road and people just wandering all over the place, like none of this ever happened. We tried to get a cab and then we realized where we were. We were on our street. I could see the house just a block down. I turned around to look at the building but it wasn’t there anymore. Instead I saw the park. The park that had always been there. I knew I hadn’t dreamt it because Cecelia looked different. That was proof enough. I knew it happened. We walked home and I settled Cecelia in her crib and sat down in her room, watching over her. The Doctor walked in and sat down next to me placing his hand on my knee.

“Doctor, how could all of this happen? Why did all of this happen? How can Cecelia be a Timelord? None of this makes sense”

“Well, I have an idea. I think that Cecelia is a Timelord because she was conceived in the TARDIS. Special things happen to time travelers- they did to you when you traveled in it. I think Cecelia is what she is because she is a time-traveler and her creation took place in the travel of time and space. She is a child of the TARDIS”

“Ok but why did that man have to prove it? Risking her life just to prove a point. Why?”

“That I don’t know. But what I do know is that he won’t be bothering us for a while. I think Cecelia is safe- for the time being anyways”

“I hope so”

The Doctor was right. I didn’t have any more dreams about that man, nor did I see him anywhere.  He finally left us alone.

5 Years Later

“Daddy! Daddy, wake up!” Cecelia was shaking the Doctor awake. The sun was just beginning to seep through the curtains. It was early- too early.

“What is it sweetheart?” he asked rather groggily.

“Daddy today’s my birthday and you promised to take me into London this morning to go get my present!”

“Yeah, ok. I’m up, I’m up” he said as he lay in bed with eyes still closed.

She ran over to me, “Mummy! Wake up we’re going into London today remember? Come on wake up let’s go!”

“Alright dad and I will be downstairs in a few minutes for breakfast and then we’ll go into town.”

“Yay!” and she ran out of the room giggling as her teddy bear dangled by the arm in her hand.

I turned to the doctor smiling as he was clearly too tired to do anything. “Oh, come on, daddy we need to get up we promised her.

“You promised her. By the way, what exactly did you promise her?”

“Oh you’ll see” I smiled and kissed him as I got up. “Come on let’s go have breakfast.”

After breakfast we got ready and we went into the city. It was the first time Cecelia had ever seen London. She saw all of the great history and beauty it held and she was so happy.

“Cecelia, look over there. You see that big wheel?”

She looked up and saw it, “Yeah, I do. It’s so big!”

“Well, that’s the first surprise of the day.”

We rode the London Eye. The Doctor and I pointed out all of the buildings to her and she loved it. We saw the river and the castle and all the tiny people walking the streets. I pointed out a tiny little restaurant and said that’s where we were going next. We got off the Eye and headed for the restaurant.

Cecelia walked in between us one hand in each of ours. We noticed that she was getting tired and slower.

“Come on you!” The Doctor said and he hoisted her up onto his shoulders and we continued walking. After eating we walked another block down the street and came to a pet shop.

“And this,” I said opening the door, “Is where we are getting your present”

Cecilia raced into the pet shop and started looking at all the animals. The Doctor looked at me and said, “I’m all for it. Except cats. I’m not really a cat person.”

“Well, that’s for her to decide.”

We followed her into the shop and of course she gravitated right towards the cats. She picked out an orange one with specs of white and a cute little white face.

“Can I get this one. It’s so cute! Please?”

“It’s up to your dad.” I looked up at him and smiled. I knew he couldn’t say no to her and he looked back at me because he knew that he couldn’t say no to her.

“Oh, all right” he said. He looked at me with a look as if to say’ you knew this was going to happen all along didn’t you?’

We got some toys and essentials for the cat and then it was time to go. We rode home in a cab and the entire way Cecelia’s eyes were glued to her new best friend.

“What are you going to name him?” I asked

“Mallupus” she answered quickly

“Well, that’s different. Did you hear that from somewhere?”

“No, it just came to mind”

We got home and set up all of the cat’s things and by then it was getting late. I put Cecelia to bed and she and Mallupus were cuddling with each other as she fell asleep quickly. It was a long day for her. I went into my bedroom and the Doctor was already lying in bed. I slipped in next to him and thanked him for letting her get the cat.

“Yeah, well I didn’t have much of a choice did I?” he asked with a smirk.

“Goodnight.” I smiled and turned off the light.

“Goodnight” he said. He stayed sitting for a few more minutes like he was thinking something over. Then he turned off the light and went to sleep.
