Spilling the Beans Ch.6

Wednesday. A fresh day, a fresh start..right?

Wrong.

David woke up and rolled out of his bed. He dreaded today. All he wanted to do was lay in bed and never talk to anyone again. But of course he couldn't. He got out of bed and did his usual routine. But this time; he didn't bother going to Liza's house.

When he arrived at school he didn't want to talk to anyone. He sat down at his desk and class begun.

When David was on his way to his next class he was pulled into a classroom by Mrs.Ford. "Hi" he said trying his best to be polite. "How's Liza? How's baby Jade?" She says excitedly. "They're fine I guess, but Liza's sort of mad at me right now" David said frowning. "Oh god David what did you do" Mrs.Ford says shaking her head.

"Did you tell your parents about Jade?" She asks. "Uh.. no" he says quietly. "David Dobrik!" Mrs.ford yells. "Why not?!" "Cause it's not easy just saying 'hey I got a girl pregnant and now I have a baby' " he says. "Well you're going to have to tell them sooner or later or I will" she threatens and David's eyes go wide.

"I'll do it I promise!" "You have until Friday Dobrik" Mrs.Ford says as the bells rings, signaling that the next period has started. "Shit I'm late" David mumbles. Mrs.Ford then gives David a late pass signed by her. "Tell your parents and get your baby back" she says as students fill the seats of the classroom.

"Thank you!" He says and walks out the room, on his way to his next class.

"Jade please I don't know what to do!" Liza says frustrated. Jade has been crying for half an hour now and Liza didn't know how to stop it. She tried feeding her, giving Jade her pacifier, and rocking her in her chair. Nothing stopped her from crying.

"Ugh!" Liza groaned giving up and plopping herself on her couch. She screams into her pillow as Jade's cries keep going. "Why God? Why?!" The teenager says putting her face in her hands. Liza looked over at her daughter and had a frown.

What will make you shut up?!
She thought.

At that moment she wished she had the support of her mother or father, or even her beloved sisters she hasn't talked to in over two years. Liza sighed softly and picked up her phone. As she opened up her Instagram account she hears the doorbell ring.

"Ugh!" Liza groans out again and reluctantly gets off of her couch. She opens the door and scoffs. "Well look who it is. The guy who doesn't give a damn if I'm okay or not" Liza says rolling her eyes. "Liza I owe you an apology" He says softly and Liza crosses her arms. "Yeah you do. Maybe do it another day" Liza says and starts to close the door before David pushes the door open.

"Please" He says almost whispering. "Fine" she says and opens the door wider. "What's wrong with Jade?" He asks referring to her consistent crying. "She hasn't stopped crying for almost an hour now" Liza says clearly flustered.

David picks up Jade and kisses her on her delicate head. "What happened princess?" He says softly and she instantly stops crying. Liza's taken back by how quickly David got Jade to stop crying. They both sit on the couch with Jade laying on David.

"Liza, there's nothing I could say to take back the things I've said and done to you. But I can say that I want us to work out for Jade. I don't want her to grow up having fighting parents. I definitely don't want to fight with you. Because Liza you've become such an important person in my life. Not only because you're the mother of my beautiful baby girl but because you've become my best friend. You know how people can just click with each other? Well I think we did. Liza, I'm so so sorry" He finishes and Liza's heart melts.

David looks at Liza, trying to figure out her emotion. "Thank you" is all she whispers. "I accept you apology" she says with a slight smile. "So we're-" "yes" she answers.

The three just sit there in silence for a bit before David gets a call. "Hello?" He answers. "Hey David I need you to come home now because someone needs to take care of Sara and Toby-Ester is out with her friends" his mom says through the phone. "Isn't Sara old enough to take care of Toby?" David whines.

"David what is it that you're so busy with that you can't take care of your own siblings?" She says. "Um mom?" He says looking at Liza cradling Jade. "Yes?" She answers. "I need to tell you something" He says before hanging up the phone. 

"What happened?" Liza asked softly. "Tonight's the night I'm telling my parents about you and Jade" he says before getting up and kissing Jade on her head. "Uh good luck..?" Liza says and David chuckles. "Yeah I'll need it"

When David opens the door he is greeted by his mother. "Well it's about time, your father and I need to go food shopping so watch your two siblings-" "Mom I need to tell you something important" David interrupts. "Can it wait David? Your father and I really have to go" she says. "No it can't" David says truthfully. "Okay then what is it?!" She says sighing.

"I-I have a baby!" David says not holding back. "What?" His mom says while her eyes go wide. "I-uh.. might've gotten a girl at my school pregnant and now I have a baby girl" David says slowly as if he's dismantling a bomb. "And you've been keeping this from your parents for over nine months?!" She says raising her voice.

"Well she was just born almost a week ago" David says shrugging. "Wait! What about Angela? Your girlfriend?!" She says emphasis on the girlfriend. "Yeah um.. we broke up" David said shyly. "But she was such a great girl-sweet, loving, caring.. not a delinquent" she said.

"Yeah well things got complicated once I told her about the baby" David said not making eye contact with his distraught mother. "Well then, I want her and the baby over for dinner tomorrow" she said unexpectedly. "Really? Tomorrow? What about dad?" He asks. "Yes tomorrow, and as for your dad.. I'll tell him about our guests but I don't think he'll handle it very well" she says while grabbing her keys and heading out of the Dobrik house.

Holy shit.
