Lucina's letters

~The mission that hurt us~

It has been a month. Lucina was living with Chrom, Sumia and baby Lucina. Lucina never left her bed. She just looked at the window or read a book. The only time she left her bed was when she needed to go to the bathroom or brush her teeth. Robin came to visit almost every day. One day Robin sat next to her bed. He stayed the entire day. Lucina had been staring at him but didn't say anything unless he asked something. She then watched him close his eyes but he tried not to fall asleep. "Why aren't you going home to sleep?" Robin looked at her. "I'm going on a mission in 3 hours. Sumia is suppose to let me know when the group is ready. And my home isn't as close to the gathering place as this castle." Lucina looked confused. "But I thought the mission was yesterday. Chrom and Lissa left then." Robin nodded. "I'm going on a different mission." Lucina made room in her bed. "Then you can lay down here. Sumia will be here when you have to go. Robin looked uncomfortable. "I..I don't think we should do that..." Lucina nodded. "Please? If you don't want to do it for yourself then do it for me. Maybe then I'll sleep normal instead of 20 minutes per hour. Robin sighed. "Okay." Robin got into the bed. He and Lucina quickly fell asleep.

3 hours later
Sumia knocked on the door. "Can I come in?" Robin quickly got out if the bed. He walked out of the room and looked at Sumia. "Shhhhh. Lucina is sleeping." Sumia looked at Lucina and smiled. "Let's go." They went downstairs to the gathering place. The entire group was there. Robin told them the plan and they started to get ready. Sumia walked over to a notepad and wrote down:
Group 1 Chrom, save villagers
Group 2 Robin, attack bandits

Lucina walked down the stairs. She saw the group leaving. "Robin! Wait. I'm coming too!" She was dressed in the clothes she was found in. They were repaired and so was her Falchion. Sumia walked over to her. "No way! You can barely stand up!" Sumia helped Lucina stand straight. "But I want to go! I want to fight again!" Robin walked over to her. "I won't let you. I don't want you to get hurt even more." He helped her walk back to her room. "Be careful..." Lucina said before Robin left.

A week later
Robin came back from his mission. He bought some flowers for Lissa. She should be back now too. Robin went home but she wasn't there. But Chrom was. "Hey there Chrom. Where is Lissa?" Chrom looked at him with tears in his eyes. Robin walked back. Chrom started talking. "She's dead...." Robin's eyes filled with tears. "No..no...NO! I thought she was only there to heal the wounded!" Chrom nodded. "The bandits planned a surprise attack. They went for the healer first." Robin sat against the wall. "Nononononono....." Chrom sat next to him. "I'm sorry." Robin looked at him with tears. "You were suppose to protect her Chrom.... that's why you went with her! She wasn't suppose to get hurt.... She wasn't..."
