I went and sat next to fili
who was holding the red colored malamute
"Well it's about time you got back" he said handing me the pup
When I caught sight of my bag. At this point my curiosity was getting the better of me "hey kee can you pass me my bag?" I asked and he gave me my bag,I am finally going to go through what my mother packed for me
So after taking a deep breath I opened the pack
And took out only a few items mainly because I'm not completely sure about this
And what I found was a small box a larger box and another music box
I sat the bag aside and placed the boxes in front of me.
"What's that?" Fili asked
"It's the stuff my mother gave me before we left" I replied and they both looked at me solemnly
I first opened a small silver paper box revealing a beautiful silver and blue necklace i had adored as a child at this point my eyes are already watering
Then I opened a small wooden box that held a georgeus dagger and sheath
Next was the music box
I wound it and immediately recognized the song and begun to sing

True as it can be
Barely even friends
Then somebody bends
Unexpectedly
Just a little change
Small to say the least
Both a little scared
Neither one prepared
Beauty and the beast🎶
My emotions over-ran me in a mix of happiness and sadness so I ran into the woods and sat under a huge oak
But in the middle of wallowing in my self pity I heard footsteps so I laid my head on my arms,hiding my face
"You alright?" A voice said as they sat across from me
"I'm fine fili,just....a bit overwhelmed" I said forcing a fake laugh
"{y/n}...you can be honest" he said placing a hand on my shoulder
"It's just..about how I lived before my parents treated me that way" I said,he nodded his head as if asking me to continue
"I was treated amazingly,I had everything I could ever ask for but almost immediately after I had tali they tied me to that post like an animal
but they treated tali well,until about a year before you came. They let me go for a while so I could care for him when they went out
They always came back drunk
And filled with rage,
that rage they tried to take out on her
So time after time I hid her and took the beating.....it just confuses me why they would beat a defenceless child"
He looked at me sadly
"Please don't say anything, I just.....needed to get that off my chest" I let out a deep breath "we better get back" I add getting up and beginning to walk back
"Hang on a second" fili said grabbing my arm
"What is it?" I say turning to face him
And he quickly wipes the tears off my face
"There" he said and I gave him a huge hug
"Thank you fili,for everything" I say as we part and head back to the camp
Where I'm greeted by the black pup I now called Kodiak
"I reckon winter will be fast approaching" said balin handing me a bowl of chicken soup "It's getting rather cold" he added as I went back to the pups where tali was already fast asleep "did she eat?" I asked sitting down
"Yeah,You alright?" Kili asked as I took a bite
"I'm fine,thank you kili" I replied trying to keep my supper away from the pups
"I bet balin is right" said fili "It seems winter is coming early" he added draping a extra blanket over tali
We ate in silence then laid down for bed,it appears balin was completely correct as the temperate was dropping rather fast
But it wasn't yet quite enough to need a blanket
One of us had to stay up to watch the pups so fili voulentered and was propped up against a tree to my right. I quickly drifted into a dreamless sleep
