*Christmas eve Anas pov*
We decided we would have Christmas Eve dinner early and i would go to the hospital to send Daniel home and stay with alice. When i walked in Daniel was sleeping with his head on the bed. I walked up to him and shacked him awake. "Hey Daniel get up." He shot up in alert. "What. What happened? Is she ok?" I chuckled. "Nothing happened and she is fine. Go home you haven't slept in two days and besides it's Christmas Eve go spend it with family." "But i want to be here especially tomorrow." I sighed and took a seat next to him. "How about this you go home tonight and then you can spend two hours with her by yourself, ok? But only for two hours if you stay more then that i will have the nurse kick you out for the rest of the day. No one will be here around 12 to 2:30. So go home and spend time with your family." He grumbled as he got up. Before he left he moved some strands of her hair out of her face. "Ill see you tomorrow so don't wake up with out me here. Ok?" He looked down at her for a couple more seconds then he kissed her temple. He turned towards me. "If she wakes up call me no mater what time it is." I nodded my head and he left.
In the morning Darcy came running in with our parents coming slowly behind her. "Can i sit with alice again i have a present for her." I watched as she tried to climb on the bed. She held out a present that was covered in "happy birthday" wrapping paper in front of them and gave it a big smile. "I know you cant see this but i learned how to wrap and your was my master piece. I even got to choose the paper. Don't worry i had mom take a picture of it. Since you weren't able to open presents with us i thought you would at least like a present open so I grabbed mine so we could open it together." She stared at her and then at the monitor. After a few minutes she looked back at us and gave a big smile try to hid the fact that she wanted to cry. "Mommy can i open sissy's present now?" She nodded and Darcy started to open it slowly as if she was waiting for alice to wake up. When she was fully done she opened the box and it was a big blanket that had a bunch of bears. She held it up. "Do you like it Ana? I picked it out while you were in Paris." I nod as she smiles at it proudly. She then puts it on the covers as Daniel walks in. "Uh hey its noon." I picked Darcy up off the bed. "Are you hungry yet monkey?" As she was saying yes i started walking towards the door to leave Daniel alone with alice.
*daniels pov*
I sat on the chair and looked at the monitor she looks stable. I adverted my eyes and looked at her peaceful sleeping face. "I should have made you go on the call or made you leave earlier when there was light out." I grabbed her hand and laid my head on the bed still watching her hoping she will wake up. I just look over at her until sleep takes over.
Someone was shaking me. "I thought i told you to get some sleep last night." I look at Ana still waiting for my eyes to adjust. "We watched movies most of the night and then I couldn't sleep for the rest of night." "Well go get some sleep now your two hours are up so go home and spend the rest of Christmas with your family. I will call you if there is any news."
When i got home carter and rose were sitting on the couch. "Hey how is she?" I flopped on the recliner and closed my eyes. I took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "Stable." "They didn't say if she will wake soon?" "Umm no they said she looked a little better then last week when they brought her in though."  i opened my eyes a little to look at my brothers and the girls. i saw chris and alex look at eachother and then back at me. "do you think she will be up by the 25th next month?" the girls looked at chris with confused expressions. "whats the 25th?" i took a deep breath. "its um my... um birthday. i also dont know but i hope she will be."

*29 days later.*

its two days until my birthday normally i would be excited but at the moment im not really excited. on new years my family had a party carter and her family was there and so was rose. i only stayed for a little and then i went to the hospital so i could be with alice.

i was sitting there watching her moniters are beeping as normal. they said she coded a couple time but other than that she was stable. i grabed her hand and gave it a small squeeze. "alice if you can hear me can you please wake up. i haven't even known you for more than 4 months and you already have me whipped. everyone misses you. your parents and darcey try to come once a week. ana, the girls, and my brothers try to come every couple days. classes started a couple days ago. i found out i have most of my classes with you but it feels so lonley without you there. please recover soon i really do miss you and that smile on your face." i brought her hand up to my lips and kissed it. i really wish she would wake up.

*alice pov*

everythings dark i can hear voices i can make out a few but not all. i could hear some convirsations but sometimes i couldnt. i wanted to open my eyes and speak to the people around me but it wouldnt work. why cant i wake up i could hear constant beeping and shuffling i could feel when people hold my hands but i cant do anything to show that im awake.

*carters pov*

its daniels birthday today me and rose came here to tell him to go home and rest up a bit. he has been here for 2 days and not even 2 hours of us sending him home hes on his way back with his brothers. i looked at the moniters while waiting for rose to come back. "um carter." i look  over at rose to see that she was pointing at alice with a surprised expression. i turn my head to see alice with a small smile on her face. "A-ALICE YOUR AWAKE!!!!" rose dropped whatever was in the bag she got and hugged alice with me. alice giggled and said. "y-yea what hap-" she stopped talking and her moiter beeped faster. a nurse came in and hit a button that was labbled 'code blue'. she started doing cpr as more came in with a cart. a doctor took over and a nurse escorted outside the door.

a couple minuets later of hearing "clear." and "come on alice come on you can pull through this." they finnaly brought everything out and her doctor came over to us. "she is stable now she should wake up in a hour or so." he was about to walk away when we stopped him. "uh can you not say anything about the code to daniel, his brothers, or her family we want to tell them." he nodded and left. i turned to rose. "you call her family and i'll call daniel."

*daniels pov*

we are about to leave the drive way for the hour trip to the hospital when alex realized he forgot something and went back inside. my brothers are coming along because they think i will fall asleep at the wheel. todays my birthday but im not really excited the only thing i actualy want is for alice to wake up. alex finally got in the car and chris started the engine. i felt my phone buzz.

"hey carter whats up?"

"what is the one thing you want the most for your birthday?" she said excitedly.

i sighed. "alice to wake up why?"

"wellll guess what?" she said still excited.

i doubt shes going to say she woke up. "what?"

she paused for a moment and giggled at something rose said from afar. "a certain alice is awake and is waiting for her prince charming."

my eyes grew wide we are currently at a stop light and chris and alex are giving me confused looks. "wait your saying that alice is awake at this very second?"

she was scilent for a minuet. "well techically she woke up and fell back to sleep the doctor said she should be awake in about and hour or so. so by the time you get here she might be up from her nap."

i turn towards chris. and mostioned for him to go faster. "okay we're on our way."

we just got here and my brothers and the girls went to the waiting room. i sat in the chair i was sitting in only a few hours ago. i moved some strands off her face and gave her hand a small squeeze. "come on mon amour please wake up fully i miss you so much." i felt her hand squeeze mine back. "im awake and i missed you too."i looked at her with wide eyes. "a-alice?"
