Caught in the library and pranks

*alice pov*
I opened my eyes to see Daniel squeezing my hand and mumbling to himself. "I missed you too." He looked up at me with wide eyes. "Alice?" I gave him a small smile and gave a small nod. He got up and kissed the top of my head. I looked up at him and saw tears welling up in his eyes. I put my hand on his cheek and gave him a big smile. "Hey." He smiled back at me and kissed my temple. "Your back" he hugged me tightly. "Please don't leave me for that long ever again." I wiped away one of his tears and hugged him back, after a few minuets of us just sitting there he let go and stared at me with his head cocked to the side like he was thinking. "If this is a dream don't ever wake me up. I don't want to go back to the time where you were unconscious." I took his hand and squeezed it. "Don't worry this isn't a dream." I gave him a small smile as I heard the door click and a squeak. "Ms. Jackson its nice to see that you are up. We will keep you here for a few nights for observation and to make sure there are no more complications. Then you will be free to go home. Your broken rib should be almost healed so you can go to school and our leg should be in that cast for a couple more weeks." After he finishes making sure I'm responsive* he turns around to leaves. Once he gets to the door and turns the knob he turns around and looks at me. "Oh and alice send him home tonight to get some rest. He was here day and night waiting for you to wake up. The only time he would leave was when he had class or when your sister kicked him out for a few hours." He gave a small smile after I nodded and walked out. I looked over at Daniel to only see him facing away with bright red on his cheeks. I slowly sat up trying not to hurt my ribs more and kissed his cheek. He looked back at me with a surprised look and then his lips met mine. "Ahem it's great that you guys got reunited and all but seriously no pda." We both look at Chris with a sheepish grin, who is currently sitting where Daniel was just sitting with his feet propped up on the bed. Alex grabbed a pillow from the couch that was in the room and hit Chris with it. "Leave them alone and says the one that was making out with carter through the whole movie night... at the movies." Chris took the pillow and hit alex back. "At least I wasn't caught making out by the librarian at the library." I chuckled and looked at carter and rose who are currently sitting on the couch covering heir faces so no one could see the red. I grinned at them. "Tsk tsk tsk carter and rose what have i told you about making out in public... the secret is not to get caught." Daniel looked at me with wide eyes and rose threw a pillow at me. Her face getting redder as she mumbled 'shut up you never told us that.' "Y-yo-you kissed someone else?" I started to laugh which made my ribs hurt a little more. I quickly sobbered up when I thought about Derek. "Yea... he was always drunk, high, smoking. Or a combination of all three." I saw alex and Chris give Daniel a quick glance and then they changed the subject. "So alice when will you be getting out of this place and coming back to our hell hole." I shrugged "in a couple of days." Chris gave a small smile and then carter spoke up. "So Daniel is this a good birthday present or what?" I turned to face him with my brows scrunched together. "It's your birthday?" He nodded. "Yea but I didn't really want to say anything." He gave me a small smile and took my hand. "Well if i would have known i would have gotten you something." I said smiling back. "You being awake is the best pleasant i had so far."

I was put on crutches. My parents and headmaster or should i say William think i should just say home until my rib heals but i always decline the offer i have already missed enough of school and if i want to be a  detective I couldn't afford to miss anymore. I walked over to our usual meet up spot. "Dude you have to tell her. Soon you really shouldn't keep it from her." I heard as i was waddling my way to them. I could see alex nod in agreement and i could hear Daniel sigh while running his hands through his hair. "I know its just not the right time. I just don't want to freak her out." As i got closer i asked. "Freak who out?" I saw Daniel jolt and Alex's and Chris's eyes widened. "Uhhhh nothing its uh good to see you back." Alex said while patting my shoulder.
The boys start messing around until rose and carter come. "Hey you ready for physics we are starting Classical mechanics today." I groaned and rolled my eyes. "Really?" Rose nods and goes and gives alex a hug. "Oh don't forget about the big lecture the whole school is getting because a certain 3 boys we know decided to have a prank war on who can prank the most teachers." I looked at the 3 boys with an amused smirk they were laughing and giving each other high fives. "So who won and which was the best prank out of all three?" Daniel smirked. "Babe of course i won and alex had the best prank." I faced alex giving him a confused look. "Aren't you supposed to be the one that talks them out of it." All he does is grin widely. "Well you see alice there is something you don't know about me, and that is I may be quiet but because of that everyone thinks I'm innocent unlike my brothers. So when i plot something i always get the best reactions since they weren't expecting it." I nodded my head slowly. "So what was this epic prank of yours?" He thought for a moment while tapping his chin and then he smirked. "Well you see Chris here got caught setting up one of his pranks in the teachers lounge, so while he was distracting the teacher i snuck it and made it that when whoever was going to make coffee got pink powder blown in their face. Then while that teacher was screaming causing more teachers to see what was happening i greased the floors. So that when they came out they would see 4 pigs running around with the numbers 1, 2, 4, and 5. So while they were slipping around trying to catch the pigs and trying to find number 3. I also got bonus points because i got the headmaster chasing after a chicken on the slippery floor. Then i dropped glue on everyone in the hallway and then put feathers in the ac so that feathers were blowing everywhere." I laughed and rose shook her head in a disapproval way. "I wish i was there to see it that sounds amazing... next time you want to pull something like that alex count me in." He nodded as rose hit his arm. "Don't you dare get her in your stupid pranks that goes for all of you." She turned her head to carter who was currently side hugging Chris as he was was whispering in her ear which caused her to giggle. "That goes for you too carter." Carter rose her hands in surrender. "That happened once and all we did was stick a air horn under his chair and superglued his pants to the chair." I chuckled at the memory of the prank we did to the headmaster. (That's how my sister and him met. I threatened him that if he was so disappointed he should just talk to my sister. The boys were giving us hive fives as rose shook her hear disapprovingly. "How am i friends with you guys." We all smirked at he. "Shush up you know you love us." Carter said while nudging her arm. Rose looked at her and thought for a moment. "Hmm that's debatable."
