"Guys?" I ask after a song or so.

"What is it?" Ethan asked me as he finished retuning his ukulele.

"Where is the coffee?" I ask.

"It's downstairs in the fridge. We didn't want to bring it up here in case you didn't want anything spilled." Mark told me as he gently wiped off the neck of his guitar. He was protective of it and he took good care of it. He should join a band...

"Okay. I'm going to go get it, as long as you guys won't spill it." I directed this at Ethan as he spilled almost every drink he held.

"No promises, but I'll try." He told me, throwing his hands up in defense.

I narrowed my eyes.

"At least he's trying." Mark told me with a crooked grin. I nodded in respect and grinned.

"Attaboy, Eth." I praised with a smile before trotting out of the room and down the stairs.

In the kitchen, I reached into the fridge and pulled out the Starbucks carrier. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and checked my messages. Matt texted.

Matt🌹8:23 PM
Hello bby.

I grinned and couldn't help but answer him immediately.

Me 8:36 PM
Hello, mon chaton.

I wondered if he knew what that meant, but I decided he would look it up if he didn't get it. I couldn't help but find myself falling harder for him every time I heard from him. Every time I saw him I almost melted then and there. I couldn't help myself.

"Did you die down here or something?" Mark came down the stairs and smacked my shoulder, awakening me from my lovesick trance. I clicked my phone off and grabbed up the coffees off the counter.

"Nah, just texting Matt back." I told him, earning a 'you like krabby patties, don't you, Squidward' look. I smirked and shook my head at him.

"Let's get back. Ethan's having a coffee craving." He told me.

We rushed upstairs and found Ethan playing his ukulele.

He sighed gently as he played a tune that sounded familiar to both Mark and myself. I wasn't quite sure what it was until I heard him singing.

When the leader of the bad guys sang,
Something soft and soaked in pain,
I heard the echo from a secret hideaway.
He must've forgot to close his door
As he cranked out those dismal chords
And his four walls declared him insane.

Mark and I smiled at each other. This was really adorable coming from Ethan. Sometimes, I think I would actually have feelings for him if we weren't best friends. I didn't even know he listened to Twenty One Pilots. This was refreshing.

I found my way,
Right time, wrong place as I declared my case

I couldn't help but sing. Mark looked at me and sang the chorus with me, making me smile as Ethan spun around and sang with us.

Your the judge!
Oh no,
Set me free.
I know my souls freezing,
Hells hot for good reasons,
So please take me.

I smiled as he strummed his last chord.

"Well, look at who can sure sneak up on a man." Ethan joked.
