Chapter twenty

The waited for, or feared, friday. Steve had his dress pants and shirt on, with a blue tie. He was excited to see Tony, though they had seen at school of course, but also kinda scared. Well, not scared, but definitely nervous. He knew Howard wasn't exactly keen on their relationship, there would be a lot of people he didn't know, also Pepper would be there. Steve just hoped everything would go well as he knocked on the door.

"Oh Steve, come in, come in", Maria smiled brightly as she let the blondie inside.

Steve smiled: "Good evening Maria."

"Tony's in his room, I'm sure you can go in", Maria hummed as she left to the kitchen.

Steve nodded and headed upstairs to Tony's room. The door was slightly open, but he decided to give a warning knock before going in. Tony turned around to face Steve. He had a white suit on, with red shirt underneath and a golden tie. Steve was speechless at sight of his boyfriend. Tony looked gorgeous.

Tony grinned: "You look good honey."

Steve finally blurted: "You look beautiful."

Tony smiled, spinning around he asked: "Don't I?"

"Yes! Absolutely stunning. Oh god I love you", Steve wasn't able to shut his mouth anymore.

The brunette only laughed and wrapped his hands around Steve's neck.

"I love you too honey", he said smiling.

Steve smiled back, wrapping his arms around Tony's waist.

"You should've told me to put on a full suit. I left the jacket at home", Steve confessed.

"Shush. You look good and that's all that matters. Besides, I didn't want to wear a full suit either, but dad made me", Tony tilted his head.

Steve was about to say 'but', but Tony managed to kiss him first. After the kiss he grinned and pulled the blondie downstairs.

"Tony, remember you'll greet the guests", Howard confirmed, or more like commanded.

"Uhhuh. Can Steve be with me?" Tony questioned.

A slight disgust could be seen on Howards face as he saw the two holding hands, but he tried to restrain himself.

"No, Steve is a guest. You can introduce him later on, but be sure to talk with others as well", Howard stated.

He really did try his best hiding his disgust and anger towards Tony's relationship. Howard didn't dislike Steve, he actually thought Steve was a well-mannered boy who was probably great influence on Tony. He just hated the fact that they were dating. Tony was about to ask if he could introduce Steve as his boyfriend, not that he'd actually listen if Howard said no, but was interrupted.

"So, the Potts will arrive soon, then after that the other guests. Oh, Tony, who did you invite besides Steve?" Maria informed.

"You let him invite even more?" Howard inquired.

"Yes of course. You invited Bruce, right?" Maria gave Howard a 'shut it' kind of look.

"Yeah, I did. And I let Bruce invite his own date", Tony told his mom.

Just when Maria asked who Bruce's date was, Tony got a text.

"Actually.. Can I bring Thor also? It's kinda complicated and I definitely understand if not, but can I? -Bruce"

"Well it seems that Bruce is bringing both the Odinsons. Thor and Loki Odinson that is", Tony looked at his phone wide eyed.

"Well that's wonderful. Good thing I prepared for you to have four friends over", Maria winked at Tony and left.
