Chapter twenty-three

"Hey Tony!" Bruce greeted his bestfriend in the school hallway.

Tony murmured something in response. Tony and Steve hadn't talked since friday and frankly, it was taking a toll on both of them. Especially Tony, since he was the type to lose his sleep if something was bothering him.

"Okay, why are you being so childish? Why won't you just go talk to Steve?" Bruce complained once again.

"..It's not that simple.." was all he got.

"Yeah right. I may not be the expert in relationships, but I know for a fact that it's not that complicated either. Like, shouldn't relationships be based on trust and communication?" Bruce confirmed.

"Yeah, trust that I broke", Tony scoffed.

"Oh c'mon. You didn't break anything. If Steve really thinks there was something between you and Pepper last friday, I'm sorry, but he's an idiot. And I'm pretty sure he's not", Bruce tried to get Tony to his senses.

"Of course Steve isn't an idiot!" Tony yelled.

"Then why don't you go talk to him?" Bruce raised his voice.

For a moment Tony stood there quiet.

Then he shook his head: "Just, leave me alone."

And with that he left Bruce.

"So, there are no classes left in the art studio for today", Loki addressed.

"But we still have classes", Natasha reminded.

"Aw c'mon Tasha, a couple of missed classes won't hurt anyone. Plus, we're not the ones missing them", Clint pouted.

"Steve will lose his mind if he misses even those few classes", Bucky stated.

"Which one is more important? Their relationship and the whole gang's well-being or Steve having a mini breakdown 'cause of few silly classes?" Clint asked.

"I never said I wasn't on board. It'll be nice to get some sense in to his head in that case too", Bucky chuckled.

Natasha sighed shaking her head. What had she gotten herself into.

"Yes, yes, doesn't matter right now. What does matter, however, is our plan. When lunch starts you two will guide Steve to the art class and sent Thor or Clint a confirmation message when that's done. Then Thor and Clint will get Tony there and lock the door. After that you'll send a message to them saying something like "you'll get out when you've made up". Is everything clear?" Loki explained.

"Adding the fact that you're only doing this for selfish reasons, yes", Natasha smirked.

"We can still kidnap Tony, right?" Clint begged.

"Stop using the word 'kidnap'", Natasha hit her friend on the head.

"Yes, you can still grab Tony and run", Loki nodded.

And with that, they all went their different directions, knowing what to do when lunch started.

"Hey! Steve my boy", Bucky patted Steve's shoulder, making the latter jump a little.

"Oh, hi Bucky", Steve tried to smile, but couldn't hide the sadness from his eyes.

"How 'bout you draw me and Bucky together?" Natasha came along.

"Huh? Draw you guys? I guess I can..?" Steve hesitated for a bit.
