Life Before

freshman Year

My name is Annalise Roberts I am sixteen years old and I am a mom to a four-month-old baby girl names Juniper Grace, I have been with her dad for a year his name is Carter James.

Let me tell you how I became a teen mom and started dating Carter, well it all started Freshman year when my boyfriend at the time Mitch Thomas broke up with me at the beginning of the year and I wanted to move on and I did with Carter.

In 7th grade I was dating my first boyfriend Lenny and we had been dating for four months when Mitch moved to town and we had an instant attraction to each other so the summer before 8th grade Mitch and I hung out a lot and we ended up losing our virginity to each other than Lenny and I broke up so we started dating when school started, but three months later we broke up and then got back together.

We were on and off again the whole 8th grade and during the summer before freshman year he started to act strange and hang out with different people, so the first week of high school Mitch broke up with me and started dating some girl who he told me was nothing to be worried about.

A couple weeks later my friend Aubrey and I were going to a party at a Senior's house and that is where I met Carter who was a Junior, we drank and danced and we ended up going upstairs and having sex, it was just a one time thing and a couple weeks later I found out I was pregnant.

But there is something else right after Carter and I hooked up, I hooked up with Mitch for the last time, well after we told our parents that we were pregnant we started dating, my friend Aubrey stopped talking to me and became a cheerleader and Mitch starting doing and selling drugs and being with other girls.

Carter and I didn't make our relationship public for a couple of months but when people found out about Juniper they thought that it was Mitch's baby since Carter and I hadn't told people about us, one day when I was five months pregnant Carter had asked if there was a chance that the baby could be Mitch's and I told him no.

After that night with Mitch we didn't say anything to each other, we would just pass each other or see each other in class.

When I was seven months pregnant I was in history class with Mitch when the police and the principal walked in "Mitch Thomas you're under arrest for the distribution of Marijuana," I gasped and he turned and looked at me he had regret all over his face.

When they took him to the office I asked to go the bathroom [since the cameras weren't working] but I went to his locker and took some of the drugs but leaving a few, and I took them to my locker when school was over everyone was talking about the drug bust, most of Mitch's friends had gotten busted and were taken to jail.

3 weeks later I was getting my science book when Mitch walked into school Carter had turned and looked at me " what is he doing back?" I turned and looked at him and shrugged my shoulders, we walked to class, later that day when I was putting my books away I found a note saying "Thank you."

I guess he realized that I was the one who did it, since they didn't put him in jail because there weren't enough drugs so he just got suspended, now when we would see each other in the hallway he would smile at me.

In early May I was in Math class when my water brake, so they called my parents and the principal went to look for Carter, they finally found him and when he walked into the office his shirt was inside out, I knew that he hooked up with other girls and it bothered me a lot but when I would say something he would get mad.

An hour later I was in the hospital my parents were there so was my brother and Carter's parents but Carter was walking around complaining and everyone was getting tired of it, an hour later Juniper Grace James was born and I couldn't be more in love, an hour after she was born Carter walked out of the hospital.

after that everyone went home and I went to sleep and so did Juniper our lives were going to change ad I was looking forward to it.
