(Cat above is Boulderwave. I couldn't find a picture of what I imagined he'd look like so I made one).
A moon had passed since the gathering. Rabbitstar and Brightring had been anxious about the way Creekstar had spoken at the gathering. They had kept the patrols doubled, all of which were told to keep an eye out for RiverClan.
Losttail blinked against the brightness, her head fuzzy with sleep.
"You missed the fresh-kill." Berryseed mewed. The gray bengal tom was sitting in the morning sunshine outside the den with Willowhaze, Parsleykit, and Silverkit.
Willowhaze was lying down, watching her two adopted kits wrestle. She let out a small purr and glanced up. "The dawn patrol found a gang of wood pigeons."
Losttail stared wistfully at the feathers dotting the space where the fresh-kill had been. Her belly growled. Ferretclaw was also awake and was lapping and a scar on his shoulder.
Sedgeleaf and Desertstorm were clearing the last of the thawing snow from the entrance, pushing snow into heaps and piling it against the gorse barrier. New-Leaf was almost upon them. The wind was already beginning to feel warmer. Patchpaw and Hareleap worked alongside them, their fur messy fromt the work.
She yawned and gave herself a long stretch before she slipped out of the den and sat beside Berryseed. The rattle of stones on the ravine made her jump. Paws hit the ground and pounded toward the clearing.
"Invasion!" Streampelt exploded into the camp, his pelt bristling.
Badgerclaw raced in after him. "RiverClan has crossed the border!" he yowled.
Flowerpaw's eyes were sparkling with excitement as he shot into the camp. "They're trying to take Sunningrocks!"
Rabbitstar was out of his den in an instant. "Did you see them?" he demanded.
"They're swarming over the rocks!" Adderfang hissed. "Eight or nine warriors at most."
"Ratfang!" Rabbitstar called the dark gray warrior to him. "You lead a patrol. Confront them and don't let them take Sunningrocks!"
Yowls or agreement erupted from the camp.
"Push them back!"
"Make them shake in their fish scented pelts!"
"Sunningrocks belings to ThunderClan!"
Ratfang called a patrol together consisting of Hareleap, Ashleap, Poppytail, Snowwhisker, Ivytail, Patchpaw, Flowerpaw, and Vinestripe.
"Rabbitstar, I want to help!" Thane called. The black loner's wounds had healed well and he was getting along well with ThunderClan, especially Patchpaw and Flowerpaw and the kits.
Rabbitstar was already at the gorse tunnle. "Alright. Thane come too."
Once Ratfang's group was sorted, they pushed through the entrance. Losttail felt something stir up inside her. At one, she scrambled to her paws and raced after the group.
Panic threatened to swamp her as she scrabbled up the ravine with her Clanmates pushing in front her.
Sunningrocks rose into the pale evening sky, the great slabs of stone turned red by the fiery sun rising behind them. Lined up on its summit was a row of RiverClan cats, silhouetted against the sun, heads held high and tails lashing. Losttail crept onto a small rock that was shielded by bushed and that gave her an ample view of the scene.
