Split Personality

I open my eyes.

They reach the ceiling.

Huh?

I scrunch my eyebrows. This ceiling doesn't look like mine.

I look around. I quickly raise my body on my elbows. This whole room doesn't look like mine.

Where am I?

I remember the call I got the night Lucifer brought me home. Have I been abducted? I don't remember anything like that.

Immediately I become alert.

I push the rest of my body up. I look for a door. When my eyes land on one I get off the bed. Suddenly my hand touch the top of something on the bed. I look at it.

My phone?

Why would someone abduct me and left my phone beside me where I can easily dial someone's number?

Unless it's a trick. Maybe there's no battery in it.

Let me check.

I take it up.

It's on?

The first person comes to mind is Daniel, so I quickly and trembly dial his number while looking around. I hope there's credit on it. Please let there be credit.

"Hey baby sis. I see you've woken up" I let out a sigh of relief.

Thank God.

"Daniel I d..." Wait.

"What did you just say?"

"Your in one of my guess rooms so don't panic" No wonder I don't recognise the room. But I don't understand.

Wait.

I look at the time.

"I'm even late for work. How did I get here?" I have no memory of anything.

"Work?" He mutters something else but I didn't catch it.

Did I get fired?

This doesn't make sense.

"Daniel what's wrong?"

"Yes work!" He said more loudly. That's weird.

"You fainted at work. Due to the fact that a maniac is after us I made sure to keep you somewhere safe since I have to go to work. I also temporarily hired a few Bodyguards"

"Hmm. But I don't remember what caused me to faint?"

"If you don't remember, I can't remember for you baby sis. Your boss was the one who called me. Anyways he figured something is wrong with you so he's giving you your day off early. Do you want to go to the doctor?" Doctor?

"For what? I feel fine. I don't get it. Where's Tina by the way?" If she knows something she'll let me know.

"She'll soon be home. For the mean time stay put" The call disconnect.

Why would I have fainted?

I know my way around this house. I'm gonna fix me something to eat.

A man standing at the door the moment I open it startles me, but I remember Daniel telling me he hired Bodyguards.

"Um hello" I smile.

"Hi"

Cute guy.

I step pass him and head for the stairs.

I stop descending the stairs.

A weird feeling develops in my gut, also my head. I hold on to the iron railing tightly to prevent myself from falling due to nausea. My eyes gets dark for couple seconds, then they clears up almost immediately.
