Chapter 17 - "I Wanna Believe You"

Jordyn's P.O.V

Me and Colby decided to lay around for a while. I was cuddled into his side and he was on his phone. "Colby" I said. I got a 'hmm?' Back for a reply. "So Brennen invited me to a party tonight. And told me you have no choice but to come with" I said. "No, I dont think so Jordyn" Colby said, sitting up. "Colby, it's just a party! I'm 18, I'm sure Elton would be okay with it" I said. "No! I know how Brennen gets when he's drunk and I know how his friends get" Colby stated, getting mad.

"If Elton is okay with it, I'm going, with or without you Colby" I said heading for the living room. "Oh hey Ellie, I didn't know you were here" I said seeing Elton on the couch along with Corey. "Hey sis, what's up?" Elton asked. "Brennen invited me to a party tonight and Colby's telling me I can't go" I replied crossing my arms.

"You can go, you're 18. But please Jo, be safe" Elton said after hesitating. "Thank you!" I screamed and ran for the stairs. I called Brennen to let him know I'd be over.

Around 7:45 is when I started getting ready. I put on a mid-thigh black dress, 5 inch heels, I curled my short hair and did light makeup. Colby was coming with for my "protection" and dressed in a regular outfit. "This isn't a good idea babe" Colby said as we pulled into the driveway. "We're fine" I replied. The party was a Brennen's tiny apartment.

"Brennie boo!" I yelled, looking for Brennen. We've been here for a little over three hours now and I've lost Colby. I'm a little drunk, and by a little maybe I mean a lot. Kidding, I'm not that drunk. Anyway, I've been trying to find Colby but gave up a little while ago. I found Brennen in the corner talking to Nick. "Hey! Have you seen Colby?" I asked nearing the two guys.

Their eyes went wide, "Jordyn, baby, listen. Colby isn't... available right now.." Brennen said trailing off. "Where is he Brennen?" I asked, I was getting mad. Colby wouldn't, would he? I mean don't get me wrong, he's not my boyfriend but. Brennen looked at Nick and sighed.

"Let's go" Brennen said walking off, me and Nick followed. We walked off into Brennen's room and what I saw, actually broke my heart.

I saw Colby pushed against a wall, a blonde pushing herself against him, and they were making out. Colby seemed to enjoy it. "I can't believe I actually wasted my time on you! I can't believe I told you I loved you! Colby Brock I hate you!" I yelled with tears pouring out of my eyes. Colby jumped and pushed the girl off him. "Jordyn! Babe no!" Colby yelled.

Jake and the others had attended the same party and followed us in after hearing me yell. "What's goi- oh god" Sam started. I glanced at the boys behind me, jaws dropped, eyes wide. I turned back to Colby, "I actually thought you loved me Colby, drunk or not, I'll never speak to you again." I said, I ran out of the room and past a crowd of people. This actually can't be happening right now.

I was walking down the street 10 minutes later, still crying, and carrying my heels. I heard a car pull up next to me and glanced, it was Brennen's truck. "Babe! Get in. Please" Brennen yelled to me. "Leave m-me alo-one." I manged out. "No, get in. Let's go get ice cream and get you home" he replied.

I gave in, tired of walking. I got in the truck and Brennen grabbed me, "I'm so sorry sweet cheeks. I didn't know until he dissapeared a few minutes before you asked about him" Brennen said hugging me. I cried more, until I stopped.

Brennen got me ice cream as promised. And drove me back to the house. No one was home besides Aaron. Brennen walked with me up to my room. "Go change, I have to talk to Aaron" Brennen said pushing me into my room.
