The friendships between Damon and Caroline and Damon and Bonnie were things I didn't know I needed until I got them.
Don't get me wrong, I'm team Delena forever but I loved that when she was gone, he was able to see that there were other people in his life that made life worth living.
It proves that Damon did grow throughout the seasons despite what certain people say.
