Chapeter two- the meadow

Katniss's POV-

I awake by the smell of pancakes.... Mmmmm it's been so long since I actually ate something not canned because that's what's I'm been eating since the rebillon witch was 5 months ago.

I walk down stairs and see Peeta putting pancakes on a plate, he doesn't see me so I just stand here looking at how perfect he is..

I walk up too him and say "smells good" "though you would think" he responds as he puts a plat in frunt of me as I sit at the table then he does the same. It's kind of a awkward silence between us so I speek up "do you have plans today?" I say "nope I was wondering if we could do something?" He asks nervously "sure" I say as I smile.

We're sitting on the couch trying too think of things too do today, "wanna go to the meadow?" I ask "sure, I can pack a lunch for us" he says referring too the clock with reads '11:05' "okay, let's go" he says as he grabs the lunch for us in the bag he packed.

He locks the door and I grab his hand, we walk too the meadow and under the fence.

We're sitting on the ground in fount of the lake. "You know... I still remember you in your two brades on the first day of school you singing the vailly song" he says "you do?" I say blushing "yeah every bit of it" he says noding. "In fact, could you sing right now please? He asks nervously "uhh sure" I say

"Deep in the meadow under the willow

A bed of grass, a soft green pillow

Sleepily eyes and when they open

The sun will rise. Here it's safe here it's warm

I finish singing and I look at him for approval all he does is lean in and kiss me, of course I kiss him back because I love him but does he love me back?

"I love you" he says as we pull away.
