so sorry for this book taking forever to update, school's being a pain (but when is it ever not)

"were those recordings of your voice true?" jeno asked mark as he was hugging him.

"no, i mean, i don't remember ever saying those things."

"around when did the recording get sent?"

"the same day donghyuck didn't come to school."

"was there anything you said that day to potentially be in the recordings?"

"i don't really remember. i remember feeling lonely and missing donghyuck a lot that day, we had drama so eunji and i-"

mark suddenly stood up.

"i think i know where the recording are from! it was all eunji. i went to the library to practice with her and the lines i had to rehearse were me "breaking up" with donghyuck!"

"eunji sounds like a whole damn snake to me. but anyway, now that you know where the recordings came from; go get your man back!"

mark nodded but before running off to donghyuck, he gave jeno the biggest hug and thanked him for making him realise.

donghyuck was sitting underneath the tree where mark and him had their moment. he was hurt of course, but maybe it wouldn't have hurt him as much if he had just let mark explain himself. he honestly didn't know why he didn't do that in the beginning, he thought he was just to heartbroken.

"donghyuck." the voice was familiar. too familiar.

"renjun? what are you doing here?"

"i just wanted to talk."

renjun sat down next to donghyuck and looked at him.

"i know about the recordings."

"that's great, would you like a medal?"

donghyuck glared at renjun as renjun just ignored the sarcastic remark.

"do you ever wonder if what he said was actually true?"

"it's happened before, why wouldn't it happen again?"

"because mark is different. mark loves you for you. i know you guys haven't known each other for long but you guys are already such a better match than your old partner."

"please don't bring him up."

donghyuck faced renjun and suddenly tears started pouring down his face.

"i'm scared renjun. i'm scared i'm going to feel the pain i felt before. i really don't want that part of my life to repeat."

renjun hugged donghyuck tightly.

"it's alright, mark will make you forget the pain because he loves you."

donghyuck felt a piece of himself missing ever since he shut off mark for a while. it was safe to say that he missed him.

"go find mark, tell him how you feel."

"thank you renjun."

donghyuck stood up and ran off to find mark.

"i'm sorry mark."
