1 month later**

I finished 11th grade today, thank god. Now it's summer vacation, and I can be away from school for a couple of months. Now I've decided to get a job for a little bit, Michele is letting me use her car so I can look. I see a restaurant that says hiring and I park the car and I go look inside, I walk inside.

"Hi you guys are hiring right?" I ask as politely as possible.

"Yes would you like applications?" they ask.

"Yes please." I say, they hand me applications. I thank them and I go back into my car, I decide to fill them out now and then give them back after. I fill out the papers and then I bring them back inside.

"Okay we will call you in a day or so to tell you if you're hired or not." they tell me.

"Thank you." I say, I walk back out the car and I decide to go to the book store. I've been wanting to read the book The Fault In Our Stars for a while, and the movie comes out June 6th so I'm going to see it. I go into the store and I see the book, I grab it then I pay for it. I go back into the car and drive back to Austin's, when I get home Michele is in the kitchen putting dishes away.

"Hey how'd it go?" she asks me.

"Great, I filled in applications for that restaurant near the book store." I tell her smiling.

"That's great!" she says.

"Yeah they're gonna call me in a day or so to tell me if I got the job." I tell her while I sit on the couch.

"That's great, I hope you get the job!" she says.

"Thank you." I say. "Where's Austin?" I ask.

"He's with Alex." she says.

"Okay well I'm gonna read my book I got." I tell her.

"Okay." she smiles, I take my book out and I read the first page. This first page is already really good, I keep on reading.

I hear Austin walk through the door and I realize I've been reading for over an hour, I look at the page number. 124, wow I'm a fast reader.

"Hey Nicole how was your last day?" Austin asks.

"Pretty good, I'm glad this school year is already over." I tell him, he laughs.

"I bet." he says. "So how did finding a job go?" he asks.

"Good, I filled applications for the restaurant next to that book store." I tell him.

"That's nice, a cook? Waitress?" he asks.

"A waitress." I say smiling.

"Looks like you're going to have to dress up for that." he says, he knows I hate dressing up.

"Oh yeah." I sigh. "Whatever at least I'm getting a job." I say.

"Yeah so what are you reading?" Austin asks sitting next to me.

"The Fault In Our Stars." I tell him. "The movie comes out soon and I'm gonna go see it." I add.

"I'll be with you." he says laughing.

"It's gonna be a really sad movie Austin, you'll probably cry." I say. "I'm probably gonna." I say.

"I won't cry." he says.

"Do you wanna bet?" I ask.

"Yeah lets bet something." he smirks.

"Hm what do you wanna bet?" I ask.
