For weeks now, Peter had been distant and always passed up on seeing you. You had been dating for a long time by now and you told each other everything so when he wasn't spending time with you, you got worried.
You had made plans with Peter many times recently and he had cancelled everything, so you decided to give up. You spent most of your time with Michelle instead. She had been your best friend for many years and she was more than happy to listen to you complain about Peter.
"Why has he been cancelling? He's not giving me a reason. You know yesterday he was supposed to come over for a film night and he didn't even tell me that he wouldn't be coming. I waited for him for an hour and a half before I cried myself to sleep. Does he even care about me anymore? Should I just split up with him?" You rambled pacing around your room as Michelle sat on your bed with a bag of crisps.
"Y/N, chill. I'm sure he has a good reason. Just leave it for a week and see if he tells you at school but if he doesn't then be a bad ass and confront him!" She tried to reason with you. You knew Michelle wasn't into relationships that much, but she did try to help you as much as she could.
The next day at school you avoided Peter, annoyed that he had blown you out without any excuse. He tried to talk to you occasionally in the halls, but he got the vibe that you were sending. You walked away from him most of the time pretending you had somewhere to be. You didn't sit with him at lunch like always. Ned noticed something was off and shot you a worried look, but you nodded to say you were fine.
At the end of the day, you went to your locker to get everything you needed for the night out. You shut your locker to see Peter stood next to where the door had been open. He had a worried look on his face which you ignored.
"Y/N, I don't know what I've done wrong! You've been avoiding me all day. Please tell me what's wrong." He asked his expression sad that his own girlfriend was ignoring him. He was used to being ignored by most people in the school but not his girlfriend.
You looked at him and rolled your eyes before walking in the other direction. You plugged your earphones into your phone and pressed play. Before you were about to put them in, Peter caught up with you and tried to talk to you but at this point you had zoned out. Peter looked defeated and let you put your headphones in and walk out of the school doors.
You got your phone out of your pocket and texted you mum: 'I'm going for a walk. I'll be back by 5!'. And with that you walked. You let your feet take you away and you listened to the song playing through your earbuds. You had to swerve in between the people in Queens. Apparently, it was quite busy full of people rushing to different places.
When you opened the door to your house, you called out to your mother that you had returned. You put your shoes in the cupboard before walking into the living room to find your mum watching TV.
"Hi Y/N, how was your day?" She asked, a huge smile planted on her face. Her eyes seemed to have a playfulness to them which wasn't usually something you saw in your mother.
"It wasn't that great really, but it doesn't matter. Why are you so happy?" You asked in return trying to change the subject from your sadness.
"Oh, I'm not really. Now why don't you go put your stuff upstairs while I make dinner and we can talk about your day while I'm making it?" She smiled warmly, and you nodded picking your bag up.
You didn't expect to see the sight you saw when you opened your bedroom door. Peter sat on your bed with a bunch of your favourite flowers in his arms. You dropped your bag and went to turn around to leave but you felt something tug you towards him. He had put the flowers down and was stood up now. You saw what looked like a web that attached itself from his wrist to your stomach. You were now so close to Peter.
"I'm sorry Y/N. I have been distant, and I have cancelled so many things recently. I am so sorry, and I know I should have been telling you why I haven't been able to see you. I promise I'll explain everything. I-" He started to ramble, but you were still in shock.
"You. You're Spider-Man?" You asked in shock still looking at the web that attached you both.
"I am. That's sort of the thing that has been making me not be able to see you. I've been out helping people and I have to do that. I also got hurt and I didn't want you to see me injured I-" You cut him off again.
"Kiss me you idiot!" You exclaimed to the dorky boy who stood in front of you. He looked deeply into your eyes before grabbing your face and roughly kissing you. The kiss lasted for a while before you both pulled away smiling.
"That was like something out of a movie Y/N!" Peter laughed making you blush but laugh along with him.
"So, you're Spider-Man huh? Does that mean I can get a kiss from you while you're hanging upside down?" You teased him. However, you were also wondering if that was possible.
"I mean I guess we could try it but I'm not sure how well it will work out for us." He replied in a serious tone and you knew that he was genuinely considering it.
"I love you Peter Parker!" You accidentally blurted while he stood there considering the possibility of it working. His head snapped to look at you, his jaw almost hit the ground when he heard those words slip out of your mouth. "I, I uhh-" You stuttered also in shock with what came out of your mouth.
"I love you too Y/N Y/L/N!" He replied lifting you up and spinning you around causing you to giggle.
It was like something from a movie...
