Another day had come along in the mansion of The Strays. Today was going to be the day Aiden dreaded the most, her training with Minho, the only one who was against her joining this team, this family.

This training session could only go two ways.

First.

Minho realizes that Aiden has decided to be serious about her training and about joining The Stray, then the both of them bond and end up being best buds.

Second.

Minho gets so sick of Aiden that he uses his gun skills to kill her and just tells everyone that the training session ran into some complications, and Aiden accidentally shot herself.

She couldn't wrap a finger around why her mind was working in such dark ways at the moment. It wasn't like she was a pessimist to the point of no return; she was a pessimist just not that big of one.

Forgetting the fact that Aiden wasn't planning on actually staying in this mafia for long, she still wished to be liked by all the members just enough for the little while that she would spend here, so it would be at least a little bit memorable in the future. Aiden already had spent so many of her years doing nothing memorable, she doesn't have any joyful memories of Mrs Hong's place. The only memories that would be worth remembering had to be with Felix and her other best friend Hanggyeol, who she hadn't talked to in a long time.

Aiden walked down to the basement level of the mansion where the shooting range was located. Saying that she was nervous would be a lie, she was absolutely terrified. Deep inside she knew that even though Minho wasn't a fan of her, he would still be professional and train her properly.

It might be harder for her, but maybe a stricter training session would come in handy. The past training days were great, but they all had a sense of playfulness in them, which this training session would obviously not have. Training in a nice environment would make learning easier, but you can't always have what you want and Aiden would just have to live with it. Minho was a strong man, so he knew what he was doing, that was all Aiden needed to worry about.

" Ever shot a gun before? " Minho's voice startled Aiden.

" Not a real one, " She slightly smiled to ease up the already uncomfortable atmosphere which only led to her smile being completely ignored as Minho walked over to the guns.

" Isn't it dangerous to keep guns out like that? " Aiden asked, looking at all the different types of guns they had propped up on the wall. She didn't even know so many versions of the same looking gun even existed, maybe it wasn't even the same gun, but what could she really know?

Minho took the most simple looking pistol and walked over to Aiden, " No, we don't have any spontaneous idiots who don't know how to shoot a gun in this team. "

She shyly took the gun from Minho's hands and turned to the practice posters that were hanging from the ceiling, " I just shoot? "

" I want to see if you have any raw talent, so yes."

Aiden took a deep breath before pointing the gun to one of the posters while remembering all the things she learned from playing a simple game of The Walking Dead on her computer. Arms straight, gun pointed right to the target, just as she was ready to shoot her little to no confidence dropped and she turned her head to look at Minho, " Aren't I supposed to be wearing some noise canceling headphones?"

" So you think we run around with those? Get used to the sting, that's all you'll hear in the middle of a gang shooting. "

" Doesn't your hearing turn to absolute shit? " Aiden asked a hint of deadly curiosity deep in her voice.

Minho groaned, taking another gun off the wall and shot it right in the middle of the target, " Can you just shoot and stop wasting my time? "

" It's not like you had anything better to do. "

" Aiden Heath, I have a lot more entertaining things to do that don't involve training you. " Minho snapped at Aiden, shooting a deadly gaze right her way.

Aiden tightened her shoulders, the sudden rise in Minho's voice startling her. She shook her head, trying to calm herself down and finally shot at the target, which she ended up shooting right in the middle of, " Look at me, not so bad after all, eh? "

" Both Jeongin and Woojin shot it right in the middle as well, yet Jeongin can barely hold a gun in his hand and Woojin almost shot Chan instead of the enemy, so I wouldn't be so happy so quickly. "

" Can you stop hating on me? What have I ever done to you? I legit came here barely a week ago! " Aiden felt the tears in her eyes start to dwell up. It wasn't a good look on her, crying because she couldn't handle a little bit of hate?

" Hate is a strong word, I'd rather say I don't enjoy your company, and I would much rather prefer you just leave. "

" You must've felt so happy when I almost left the other day, " Aiden felt the sudden need to confirm the theory that was floating in her head.

" No, because I knew you wouldn't leave. But yes as the little hope I had really didn't want to give up."

" Wow, must feel nice to have a heart if stone."

" If you want to be a part of a mafia, you should let go of the little humanity you have, " Minho corrected Aiden's little sentence.

"Minho, stop! I get it you hate me but - " a strong booming sound cut Aiden off and soon enough she saw nine men with guns and dark green suits.

Soon enough she felt a warm palm wrap around her wrist and she got pulled closer to Minho's side, " Listen, blabbermouth, you're going to do as I say and let them take us, got it? "

" Why? " Aiden looked up at Minho only to meet his nervous gaze.

" That my dear is The Origins and we don't want out head to get blown off so soon. "

" Min-"

" See you've learned well Minho, didn't think I'd ever see your face again, " a man came from behind the nine other strangers.

Minho scoffed and pulled Aiden behind his back, " What did you lose here, Vlad? Last time I checked Bang doesn't have any business with you."

The man walked to Minho and Aiden smiling like a sadist, " You see, Minho, he does have business with me, so that means you're coming with me. "

" If you have business with him, why the Hell do you need us? " Aiden spoke up behind Minho's back.

" You're a new recruit, aren't you, love? " Vlad looked down at her, acting as if he was so much greater than she could ever be. Well, he probably was, he seemed to have his men under control, let alone he was the leader and not a newbie that barely knows about the basic functions of a mafia.

Minho rolled his eyes, " Couldn't you just keep your mouth shut for a minute? "

Aiden disappeared behind Minho's back, this was definitely her first rodeo, which meant she knew absolutely nothing about the scene in front of her.

" Tie them up, we need them gone before the others return, " Vlad signaled his men and walked back upstairs.

" What do we do? " Aiden wondered as she felt Minho's grip around her wrist tighten.

" We go with them. "
