Twenty-Two

Both Chan and Aiden walked into the expensive mansion. One thing was for sure, NCT was so much richer than them. Aiden was shocked, but she had to stay composed as it wasn't unnecessary for her to show how much of stranger she was to this all.

Aiden had felt a culture shock right from the beginning of this day. Felix had handed her an expensive crimson red dress, which was clearly going to be a struggle for her. The high heels that were on her feet felt like they would just break her feet in half. But this was now the reality, after this, it was going to be hard to leave. There's really nothing she'll be able to do.

Aiden linked her arm with Chan's so it was a lot more clear that she was indeed his plus one tonight. Chan looked at the girl to his left and softly smiled at her. That little smile almost made Aiden melt, but good thing she knew how to keep it all in.

" Bang? You're not invited," a man in a fancy suit walked up to the pair.

" Taeyong! Aren't you a sight for sour eyes?" Chan smiled at Taeyong, the smile was confident and classy, Chan was definitely not an amateur.

" Completely ignoring me? Now that seems just like you."

" Calm down, I'm here instead of GOT7, JB told me he wasn't able to attend, so here I am."

Taeyong nodded his head, but soon enough his eyes traveled to Aiden and a smirk danced on his lips," And who's this beauty?"

Chan unlinked his arm from Aiden and instead placed it on her lower back,"  This is my plus one Ennie."

" Ennie is it? Well, nice to meet you, I'm Taeyong,"

Aiden smiled at Taeyong with a kind smile.

" The pleasure is a mine."

" Well, don't let me ruin your night. I'm watching you Bang, wasn't a smart move to include sweetie Ennie into this mess," and with that Taeyong disappeared.

Aiden looked at Chan with a raised eyebrow," Ennie? Really? "

" What? I wasn't about to reveal your name, the dude would've gotten all his information about you through the database, so I did you a favor."

Aiden looked around the crowd of people and her eyes soon met with Hyunjin's," Hyunjin and Felix are here, though I'm not sure where Jisung is."

" He's here don't worry. Though I do suggest we start this show as soon as possible, cause the longer we are here, the easier they will catch up on our plan."

" Lead the way Bang," Aiden smiled at Chan with a charming smile.

Chan walked to the back of the ballroom, on the left, there was a corridor, from the floor plans he had gathered this was the exact place they needed to go. Walking down the corridor was even harder to do without looking even a little bit suspicious, there were many guards and Chan had recognized the some of them as undercover NCT members.

The Strays weren't alone though, somewhere in the ballroom was the only female mafia they were friends with. The nine girls were doing their part pretty well too, all the had to do was distract the NCT members with their charms, and luckily, Twice was very good with this. Of course, if a bad situation were to happen all nine of the girls would have The Strays backs, and that's what Chan appreciated the most about them. They were loyal no matter what.

" Changbin it's been two hours already, there is no way Chan and Aiden aren't in danger," Minho said as he looked through the crowd from the balcony on the second floor.

" If anything happens we'll know."

" Something seems off though, the backup snipers aren't here and I really have a bad feeling about this, I'm telling you Changbin, something seems extremely off."

" And that is correct," A voice said behind the two of them.

Minho turned his head to the owner of the voice and immediately froze," Lucas?"

" Did you really think I wouldn't realize something was wrong when Taeyong mentioned seeing Bang with a chick by his side? But now follows a better question, who's the chick?"

Changbin scoffed," Obviously she's his plus one."

" Well, then he has brought plus nine people, which my dear friends are against the rules. I didn't think you'd be that stupid to think I wouldn't realize something wasn't okay when I saw Twice and The Strays under the same roof."

" Johnny, I need you to catch up with Bang and his plus one, I know what they're after and we can't have them the files," Taeyong said as he tried to find the many enemies inside the flood of people.

Johnny got the message and went to get Ten, Jaemin, and Lucas with him, there was no way he was going to face Bang by himself, he wasn't ready to die just yet.

" Aiden, turn left,"  Chan whispered as he allowed Aiden to lead the way towards Taeyong's office.

Just as the two turned left the pair was met with two boys.

" Really? Johnny and Ten. Who else would it be," Chan scoffed as he looked both boys in the eye.

Johnny smiled and walked towards Bang and pulled out a pistol from his back. Chan looked at Aiden and nodded, " Go find Han."

Chan and Aiden separated and Chan went to get all the attention to him, so now Aiden has to follow the plan. If Chan is to leave, go find Jisung. Luckily for her, Jisung had just walked out of the bathroom.

" Plan B Jisung."

Jisung nodded his head and both of them went to find the stairs to the basement. If the floor plan they had gotten was correct there was another way to get into Taeyong's office and that was through the lower level - Basement.

Aiden led the way for the both of them. When they reached the basement it was surprisingly unprotected, so they both just made their way in.

The basement was quite different from the floors on top. The floor looked like it was cemented fifty years ago, and the walls were weirdly wooden. It was clear that this floor had been left to rot for quite a while now which only meant that this was a better opportunity for The Strays.

Aiden led Jisung into a weird room, which was just underneath their goal, but suddenly the door to the exit suddenly collapsed and both Aiden and Jisung ran to sit close to the wall. It was safer there than in the middle of the room.

" Listen, we'll be fine," Jisung said with a sigh.

Aiden turned her head to look at her partner, " We don't have any other option, we just have to be okay."

The two sat there for at least fifteen minutes until they heard a gunshot from upstairs.

" Jisung, We have to find a way out, " Aiden got up and hurriedly looked over all the ways they could get out.

Jisung nodded and joined Aiden in finding the way out, this was no longer a simple mission, it was now a war. That was always the rule when one group fires the other is allowed to fire back.

Jisung got up on a heater that was conveniently placed in the little free corner. His hands searched up on the ceiling, a lot of these old mansions had secret passageways and there was no way NCT didn't have them.

His hands pushed in a slight hole in the ceiling and he knew he scored a jackpot, the slightly covered trapdoor was right underneath. Jisung pulled it open and got Aiden to get up first.

Both got up on the first floor again and there they were met with three boys. Aiden slightly cleaned off the dust that was on her. The girl looked at the three boys and her face turned pale," Jaemin? Yukhei?"

The boy in the middle held up his gun to be pointing right at Aiden," Stay there and don't move."

Jaemin placed his hand on Ten's shoulder," Don't shoot the girl."

" Heath?" Lucas stepped closer to Aiden and right as he was about to go for a huge Ten fired his gun.

" No! "
