a/n HAPPY REALLY LATE BIRTHDAY TO THE TWO MOST WONDERFUL HUMANS ON THIS PLANET- JISUNG AND FELIX!!!!

The nightfall came quite quickly and soon enough Aiden was wrapped in her covers, trying to make her mind shut up, so she could fall into the wonderful world of sleep. Aiden never really had that big of a problem when it came to falling asleep quickly as ignoring her thoughts was one of the best skills she was born with, at least in her opinion.

Some might disagree with that though, some might even say that the best skill she has is the ability to read a person's body language or even the blessing of learning things quite quickly. Her grandmother would probably say that the best skill she has is to put others before her, but Aiden felt like that part of her was gone now. Look at her, she was playing with her best friend's trust just so she could save up money and run to Iceland.

During the few nights that she wasn't able to fall asleep, she would think about her parents. What would they think of her? Would they be extremely disappointed or would they be proud of her even when there wasn't much to be proud of? The little hope in the back of her mind always whished that they watch over her from that one lonely cloud that is always above. Never knowing what her parents were really like didn't even sadden her, because now, she had the chance to imagine what they were like, there was no way her expectations could make her disappointed, they weren't alive anyway.

A little stray tear made its way down Aiden's cheek, she didn't even realize that she was crying. Crying was a sign of weakness and Aiden wasn't weak, so why in the world was she crying so much? Usually, she would be able to walk to Mrs. Hong's room and get a hug from the only parent-like figure she had in her life, but now that wasn't an option, maybe leaving her room would help? Taking a little walk around the mansion could clear up her mind a little bit, right?

Aiden walked out of her room and made her way downstairs to the kitchen as the sudden need for water flooded her mind. The house was still lit and that seemed quite off to Aiden, it was around three o'clock at night, so who was still awake and who needed the whole house to be lit?

The kitchen floor was cold to the touch, shivers ran all throughout her body and goosebumps were visible on her arms. Aiden got a glass, poured some water into it when suddenly she heard someone behind her.

" What are you still doing up? " Chan startled Aiden.

Aiden took a drink of her water and turned around, her cheeks had a slight pink shade on them making it seem like Aiden was a little kid who got caught with a hand inside the cookie jar by her parents.

Aiden cleared her throat, " I couldn't fall asleep, so I decided to get some water. "

Chan walked closer to Aiden as he spotted a little tear roll down her cheek, " why were you crying? "

Aiden rubbed her eyes and surely there were still tears glazing all over.

" I wasn't crying, that's probably because I yawned or something. "

Chan softly chuckled, " I'm not stupid, it's clear you were crying. "

" Fine, I was, but I'm clearly not anymore, so we Gucci, " Aiden laughed, " mkay, I'm gonna go back to my room, you do whatever a person who doesn't sleep do. "

Aiden tried to walk past Chan, but it didn't work out as he grabbed her wrist turning her to face him, " Are you really okay? "

" I'm fine. "
