The Big Bad Alpha Next Door

The training has been going good for a day, still no attack. I was glad it hasn't happened yet, each training day i push us all a little harder, and they keep wanting more challenges so today we're going to run 10 miles in human and then 10 again in wolf.

And do 3 hours of dodging and speed thrn another 5 of deadly attacks. I participate in every activity, sometimes Kyle will come and join but not for long as he always gets called for alpha dutys.

We've had another 15 wolfs join our pack yesterday, so I did one on one training to get them caught up, soon everyones abbs and muscles were clearly defined and damn i must say, we were looking bad ass and i loved how much effort they all put in.

In the late afternoon we finish all training for another day, we all head home and get rest, but i stay up and get caught up on all my school work and submit every assignment. Then i drift off in to a deep slumber, darkness consuming my head.

I wake up slight pain in my legs i rolled mydelf out if bed and made my way towards the shower, today was my day off but i still wanted to train. I want to be 100% ready for whenever they attack. I hop into the steamy shower letting all the worries wash away.

Soon after i jump out and comb my hair out putting it in a tight ponytail, i make my make into my closet and put on a loose tee-shirt and sweatpants. I look in the mirror again nothing screams "wow" i have a small but purple bruise forming on my cheek from me letting my gaurd down and letting my brother tackle me down.

I sigh and walk out of my bedroom and down the stairs into a huge kitchen. I look into the fridge, and i pick out a strawberry yogurt and a spoon. And made my way towards the table i sit and scroll up Instagram, damn theres alot of hot guys on here!

I have the right to say that because I'm still mateless and i have kind of given up finding a mate. I mean I've looked everywhere for him, but i came up with no mate. I still have my virginity but i have made out with a couple guys. But I must say, Some of these guys looking like a four course meal. Don't mind if I do I mentally say as I like all their pictures.

After looking at yummy guys and eating my yogurt i hop out side and shift into my light brown wolf. I run my way down towards the lake, I'm pretty sure im the only one who knows about this lake, i mean i hope. I stop just as my paws touch the edge of the water. I look at my reflection my face is a tad darker then the rest of my body my bright green eyes big and alert, my ears straight up.

I listen in to the birds chirping and the water falling from a water fall a ways away. I slowly walk along the shore, making big prints behide me. This just might be my new happy place... Who am i kidding, i love books to much! But this would definitely be my second happy place. I walk a bit longer before i start to walk back.

Zach? i asked back

Your right hun, he's waiting at the center training camp she said clearly happy he's back.

Okay so Zach is my best friend, he's actually awesome and i don't know what id do without him, he went to Florida about a week ago to vist his mother, he was supposed to come back this weekend, im not sure why he's back so early. Zach has always been the cocky, and immature.

I guess were polar opposites as im, funny and calm. He also comes up with really cheesy pick up lines, most of the time i can't help but laugh at how bad they are.
I start running towards the training area and i shift quickly putting clothes on before running in human form the rest of the way.

I can smell him before i can see him, i keep running till i see him turn around and instantly smiling and getting ready to embrace me into a warm hug.
I run one last stride before i jump on him wraping my legs around his waist hugging him tightly. He instantly returns the hug and puts his head in the crook of my neck.

"Gosh i missed you boo" he says kissing my forehead and letting me down.
"I missed you too Zachy-poo" i tell him looking up at him. People always think we're mates but we're not and honestly i wouldn't want to be mates with him, putting this nicely, he gets fucking annoying sometimes. I mean I love him to death but really dude?

"Hey, is your name draw?" he asks looking down at me with a smirk
"No why?!" i ask missing the good old pick up lines.

"Because i put the D in Raw" he says laughing lightly starting to walk away.

"Ewww gosh that's a sick one dude" i say laughing with him. We begin to walk up towards the pack house.
"So uh why are you home so early?" i ask catching up with his big strides.
"I heard about the threats the alpha king was making, so i thought id come home and help train and fight" he said with a frown on his face.

"Oh well i don't think the fight will happen any time soon" i say with a bit of hope in my voice.

"Why do you say that?" he asks just as we make it to the doors of the pack house.

"Well i mean its been three days since the first threat was made, but then again my dad and brother don't tell me much" i tell him opening the door.

"Wait what was the threats even about?" he asks me with his eye brows frowned and walking into the big stone house.

"the king wants more land and we refuse to give him any of ours" i answer to him putting my bag onto the couch.

"And why not just give him a peace of it?" he asks turning on the Xbox, TV then grabbing the remotes for us to play.

"Because we've worked hard for our land, it took us over 30 years just to get what land we have now, we are not giving that all up to some dumb old alpha king" i say in an angry tone.

"Oh, i didn't know I'm sorry boo" he says kissing the side of my head.

"No it's okay, sorry for snaping at you" i tell him with a small smile.
He just nods and gives a smile.
Zach also hasn't found his mate, so i guess he feels the way i do. He's a year older then me so it's been two years since he was supposed to find his mate. He's the type of guy the sleeps around with a new girl every week, i can't wait till his mate finds out, people ask me if he's every tried anything like that with me an the answer is simple, no, we are like siblings and he knows better then to even try.

Yes we say cringy pick up lines to each other, but were only friends. He is one of my only friends, we met when we were 5. Him and his friends used to have a big game of tag, once i asked to play, and because i was a younger female the other boys said no, zach didn't think it was fair so he always let me play every game with him, from that day forward we've been best friends.

We just sprawled onto the couch and watched some netflix for the rest of the night, simply forgetting everything little entire thing in the world.
