The Big Bad Alpha Next Door

Soon enough we reached the kings House. Or should i say castle.
On the way onto his territory no words were spoken between us. Dead silence. To say it was a awkward walk was an understatement. Every so often he would look back at me. I just ignored his stares and kept my head down looking at my brown paws.

"You may shift back now" is all he says before he trots off behind a tree. I do the same walking to a bigger tree. I drop my clothes and shift back before putting them back on. I walk out to again see the King waiting for me, his well built arms crossed.

My wolf purred inside my head muttring some inappropriate words.
"I will have my beta take you to the pack house" he says his face showing no emotion. His eyes glassed over meaning he was mind linking someone, im guessing it was his beta as he soon appeared.

"Good afternoon Luna, i will be showing you to the pack house, please follow me " he bowed before turning and walking. I followed behind him as the alpha just stood there still watching me emotionlessly. I didn't even bother asking him where he would be going. As i already knew I'd not get an answer from him.

"So um i hear your top female rank warrior" the beta tells me giving a small smile.

"Uhh yeah i am, im Abby by the way" i say stopping and putting my hand out for him to shake.

"I'm Dylan, the Kings one and only Beta" he says shaking my hand. I smile at his kindness so far and he shows a small smile before leading the way once again.

"Is he always so dead?" i ask about the king

"Tsk, you mean is he always so cold and emotionless?"

"Yeah" i say to him

"Well then if i must tell you, yes he is Luna. I haven't seen him smile in over 70 years" he states not stopping walking.

"Oh" is all i can mutter out. We continue to walk past the castle towards a long archway. I guess the King wants a private castle. I gasp as we walk through the arch. There was bright red fence and white roses weaved between them. Making it look like the red and white queen off of Alice and the wonderland came to visit.
Dylan turns to me and gives a bit of a laugh.

"You like the arch?" he asks

"Oh my yes its beautiful!" i replay back to him still admiring the beauty around me.

" The King made this about 40 years ago" Dylan says walking with his hands behind his back.

"It's wonderful" i say to him.
We walk a bit more until the arch ends, at the end there was a clearing with a huge white house.

"Well this is the pack house luna" he says showing with his hands.

"Wow it's huge" i say smiling at the house.
Dylan just gives a chuckle before he walks into the house with me trailing behind him.
He stops in the hallway to talk to who looks like a house maid.
I take the opportunity to look at dylan, he has light blonde hair and light green eyes. My eyes travel down to his neck where a tattoo peaks out of his shirt. I continue my eyes down to his hands, a ring lies on his finger, not a marriage ring, but a ring to indicate that your on the wolf council. Im not surprised as he is the Kings beta.

Over all he's a very attractive guy. Not as attractive as the king tho. Wait what!? Why am i comparing the King to Dylan?
He stops talking and walks back towards me.

"Luna this is Marie, she will show you to your room upstairs. I will be going but the King will arrive shortly." Dylan says with a bright smile.

"Oh uh okay, where will you be going off to?"

"My mate just found out she was pregnant, i must be going." he says beaming.

"Oh my, congratulations!" i say giving a big smile.
Dylan nodds his head still beaming and runs in the opposite direction of the pack house.

"Luna?" the maid asks from behind me.

"Yes?" i ask turning around to face her. She looked young, no older then 25. She was super small. Must have a really low rank i thought to myself.

"I will show you to you room now Lu-"

"Abby, sorry but please just call me abby" i say cutting her off. She just quickly nods her head before walking up a set of wooden stairs to the right of the entrance. I follow closely behide the small maid as we make our way up the at least 50 stairs.
When we reach the top of the stairs i see a long hallway, at the end stand 2 large double doors.
We pass many bedrooms before we reach the 2 doors the maid unlocks the doors and pushes them open. I open them to see a large room.

Against a dark grey wall was a huge white king bed. There was a small black nightstand right next to the bed. The rest of the walls are a light grey. With various painting on the walls. A big bright window takes up a whole wall of the room. The sun streaming in.

"You will be staying in here till the king says otherwise" Marie says looking up at me. "oh and the King has asked me to tell you to stay in this room in till he comes to collect you for your meal" she adds.

"Um okay thanks, do you know what time that will be?" i ask her.
Her eyes cloud over meaning she was mind linking someone, probably the King.

"The King has spoken and said that he is unsure when he will return, Luna" the maid says to me.

"Okay thank you Marie" i say with a smile.

"Delta Colton will come and check on you every half-hour" the maid said before walking towards the door. I catch the faint mouthwatering scent of my mate before i ask the maid one last question.

"Who's room is this?"

"This is the King's room in the pack house" she answered to me. I give her a slow nod before she walked out shutting the door behind her.

I wait in the room for 5 hours before i grow tired and frustrated with the King. It was now already 8:00 pm. I make my way towards the white bed.
It was dark out and through the window i could see a full moon and a few trees outside.
I shut my eyes and drift off into a light slumber. Forgetting my anger at the King.
