Abbys P.O.V

When i wake up the bed in empty, so zach must have left earlier. But there was a note on the pillow beside me

Just went out to go check in my dad and grab some food before training.
~ Love Zach

I read the note over again, and deside to postpone training today. It's only about 9 o'clock anyways and it will give me time to check in with my dad about the threats. While i wait for him to text me when he's all ready to go, i make the choise to go for a run by my lake, and yeah i said my lake because im putting a sign up saying it's mine, and mine only.

I slip on a white tee-shirt and light grey track pants and walk outside. I walk till i reach the head of the trails. I walk behide a tree and take off my clothes leaving them there for when i come back.

I hear my bones cracking and i shift into my wolf kaycee who always loves the runs

Gosh it's good to be out!
Kaycee says shaking her coat. Im proud to say that Kaycee isn't one of those wolfs who as soon as you shift they shut you out and go on a rampage. No Kaycee likes for me to also have control just in case something happens, and with our super strong bond our senses are a lot more alert.

We run a very familer path then take a sharp left about 650 ft into the trail. I mentally smile and i push us both farther into the bush weveing throughout trees, and jump over logs, Kaycee begins to slow down when she sees the lake in view.
I trot over and again stop just before my paws meet the water. Since its mid summer my coat in light brown, but as soon as fall and winter roll along, my coat turns almost black.

My mother says if me and my wolf work on controlling it we change between a light grey to black whenever we want, so we work on it every once in awhile, but today i want to helo teach Kaycee how to swim better, it's not that she's bad, i just want us to both be 100% ready and capable for anything. Kaycee likes the idea of course, she wants to be the best she can be.

I ease into the cool water slowly my paws already paddling. I just swim laps, teaching Kaycee to not drown. sometimes I'll go under to cool off my head, but going under hurts the ears, so i stop going under. I swim a few more laps before a get out and shake off all the droplets of water off, i start to walk off in the sand so the sun can help dry my coat before a can go back and change.

I listen to all the nature around me and the smells of fresh grass and soil. I focus my ears onto only the sound of my paws pushing into the brown moist sand. I start walking back to the head if the trail, i come to a stop when i see a big fawn deer up ahead eating the sweet grass in a small clearing. I crouch down hoping the deer wouldn't see me, and surprisingly it didn't. I sat there watching the deer eat and groom herself.

The deer suddenly shot it's head up, it paused and looked off to the right. It started to run really fast away from the area, i look around to try and find what would have made the deer spook and bolt. Nothing, no other wolfs, bears, fox, or human. A cool wind blew a sent along. An unknowen sent. I began to get worried that rouges might have gotten past the boaders and were looking for trouble. But rouges had a nasty stench like rotten garbage and dead animal so I don't think it's a Rouge, as a harsh breeze came along I could smell wolf's from another pack not just one, but at least 200 different sents.

Then i came a across a mouthwatering smell, it was like Mint and fresh Pine it was absolutely delicious and my wolf was going insane over it. I was going to walk towards the smell, when a powerful growl ripped through the trees. Birds went flying out of their quiet trees. Now instead of running towards the sent i ran away from it.
