Lukes POV

"Luke get up were gonna be late!!" Calum yelled from downstairs

"ALRIGHT ALRIGHT I'M UP"I yelled back as I threw the blankets off my almost naked body and got out of bed to get dressed. After brushing my teeth I headed downstairs where an impatient Calum waited.

"Its about time, I was starting to think you would never come down" Calum said as he grabbed his keys from the little coffee table by the door.

"Yeah Yeah whatever , its not like i'm in a hurry to go to school anyway. Nothing interesting ever happens there" I said while walking out the front door to Calums car that was parked in the drive way.

"You never know man anything can happen. " he said locking the door behind him and heading to the drivers seat.

After about a fifteen minute drive we finally made it to the school. There were groups of people outside leaning against cars or just talking. It looked like your typical high school with the jocks and the cheerleaders in one group, the nerds rushing inside to get to class early and everyone who didn't fit in those two categories were in the middle.

After Calum parked we got out and started heading towards the front door. No one really paid much attention to us. We didn't fit in the jock group and I don't think we fit into the nerds either. Calum likes to say we are in a category of our own.

"Hey did you hear about the new girl?" Calum asked looking at me

"No ,I didn't even know there was a knew girl." I said glancing at him as I moved to hold the door open for him.  

"Yeah she's suppose to be here today. I heard she's kinda hot" Calum said with a wink as he walked inside. I rolled my eyes at him and shook my head.

"Its not like your gonna have a shot." I said jokingly as he playfully pushed me toward the wall.

"How do you know that?" he asked looking a little hurt as we continued our walk inside the halls of the school.

"I got a feeling." I said smiling and shrugging 

"Whatever, your just mad cause I got game." he said smiling and wiping pretend dirt off his shoulder

"Yeah whatever, look I gotta go to class see ya later" I said and turned the hall that lead to my class.

"Later" he said as he went the other way

I walked to my locker and grabbed what I needed before I headed to my class. I took my time not really caring about being late.

I made it just before the bell rang and sat at my usual spot next to the window in the back. I hated my first period because I had to listen to someone ramble about history first thing in the morning. I didn't want to come to school much less listen to some one talk the entire time.

I was about to zone out what the teacher was rambling about when this beautiful girl walked in and the whole class went silent. All eye's snapped up to her as she tried not to make eye contact with anyone. She used her hair as a curtain and shielded half her face.

"Ahh you must be my new student ,Alice right. " Mr.Rodriguez said

She simply nodded as a response while handing her schedule to him. He looked it over before handing it back and looking at her. He then looks around the class for an empty seat which is only one and its next to me.

"Okay then I guess you can take the seat next to Mr.Hemmings, Mr.Hemmings please raise your hand." He said 

I raised my hand and she walked to her desk right next to me. The teacher continued on with his lecture and she pulled out a notebook and a pencil and started writing down notes.  She was cute and shy which I think was even better. 

"Hi i'm Luke" I said sticking out my hand for her to shake. Hoping she would shake it and not ignore me.

"Alice" she said shaking my hand and surprisingly making eye contact with me.

"Well Alice I think me and you are gonna be best friends." I said smiling at her as she continued to take her notes.
