Lukes POV.

After the history bell rang Alice jumped up and ran out the door before I could even stop her.

I got up gathering my stuff in the process and started heading to my next class.

As I headed to my locker before class I bumped in Calum.

"Hey have you seen her yet? " he asked

"Yeah man and let me tell you she is not just hot ..she's beautiful." I said remembering when she walked into class

"mmhhh well I still haven't seen her so we'll see" he said

"Ok well we better head to class before we're late you know Mrs. Campbell is not gonna be happy of we're late,again" I said starting to walk to our next class with Calum in step with me.

Its finally lunch and me and Calum sat at our regular table. Its just us two, we aren't really popular, but we don't mind. That just means we don't have to desk with all the dreams fake people bring.

We were having a conversation when the entire cafeteria went silent. Calum and I stopped our conversation and looked at what everyone else was starring at.

It was Alice, smiling I noticed how she was looking for somewhere to sit.

"Hey, is that the new girl? " Cal asked

" Yeah" I replied before raising my hands up and flagging her over to our table.

She looked my way and smiled as she started walking to our table. She looked relieved that she knew at least one person in the cafeteria.

"What are you doing?" Calum asked looking at me with surprise.

"Asking her to sit with us duh" I said looking at him like he was stupid.

"Hey, its Luke right" she said as she sat down across from me and Cal.

"Yeah," I said smiling at her, happy that she remembered my name

Calum cleared his throat and shot me a look that said introduce me you dummy. Rolling my eyes at him I introduced them.

"Oh right, Alice this is Calum ,Calum this is Alice"

"Hey"

"Hi" they said

"thanks"  she said out of no where confusing me.

"For what?" me and Calum said at the same time trying to recall why she would be thank full for.

"For saving me from the awkwardness of trying to find a seat." she said gesturing to all the eyes still looking our way.

"Your welcome,  I mean we are friends right? " Calum said smiling at her.

"Yeah" she said smiling widely

"And a beautiful girl like you shouldn't be sitting by themselves any way" Calum said winking at her

She started blushing and laughed at him.

"Thank you." she said  blushing slightly.

"So why did you move here in the middle of the school year?" I asked curious about her.

"My parents needed a new start so we decided to move here." she explained. Short and simple.

"What about you guys whats your sto...." she was cut off by the most annoying high pitched voice ever. I quickly ducked my head hoping she didn't see me.

"Lukey-poo!!"  I knew exactly who that voice belonged to and by the sound of her heels she saw me.

"What Ashley" I said a little annoyed that she cut off Alice.

"I just wanted to see if you wanted to come over after school" she said biting her lip in an attempt to be seductive.

"No Ashley I told you the last time I'm not interested" I said turning back to Alice and saying "Sorry bout that you can continue."

Alice gave me a weird look but continued  as I heard  Ashley huff and walk away. Sighing with relief as Cal laughed next to me.

"So what was that about" Alice asked once Ashley was out of the cafeteria.

"Ashley has a huge crush on Lukey-Pooo over there and Luke doesn't like her" Calum said shrugging as if it was talking about the weather.

"That's it?" Alice said raising her eye brows

"Yeah " I said smiling at for cute she looked doing that

"Okay cause I really don't want any drama because she thinks there's something going on between us" she said pulling food out of her lunch bag.

"Don't worry babe, if Luke's too much for you you can have me" Calum said winking at her once again.

She giggled at his playfulness before starting small talk about all kinds of things.

This is the way lunch went until we had to go to class, sadly.

We had walked out of the cafeteria when the bell rang to go to class.

"Bye Cal bye Alice" they headed off to physics which they had together. Lucky Cal, always gets the girls..
