"Jack? Can we please talk?" Finn asked as he approached Jack in the basement, who had returned once Hannalynn had left.
"About what, Wolfhard?" Jack snapped.
Finn sighed and sat next to him. "I just wanted to explain everything to you."
"How do I know it's not all lies?" Jack commented while strumming his guitar.
"Please, Jack, just let me explain everything to you, and hopefully you'll understand," Finn said.
"Fine," Jack turned to face him. "Go for it."
Finn began to explain everything, starting with the plan Cenzie created and that they agreed on. He continued to explain until he got up to the music festival, and he paused to read Jack's facial expressions.
"Jack?" Finn asked after a few moments. The blonde boy sighed and looked over at Finn.
"I appreciate you telling me everything, and I believe you, by the way," Jack began. "But I need time to think and process all this."
"I get that," Finn nodded and then stood up. "I've gotta go anyway, see you later."
Jack said a quick goodbye and let Finn go, him now being alone in his basement. After thinking for a few minutes, he decided he would go to Hannalynn's house and apologize. He grabbed his bike and began to ride down the street, even though it was pouring rain outside.

Hannalynn opened her front door to find Jack on her front porch, drenched from the pouring rain. She let him in and the two went upstairs, where she handed him a towel to wrap around his soaked self.
"Thanks," he said quietly.
"Of course," Hannalynn nodded. "So, why are you here? I thought you were mad at me?"
"I was, but then Finn explained everything to me," Jack replied. "So I wanted to come and say that I'm sorry for getting mad at you and not knowing the whole story."
"It's okay, Jack," Hannalynn said as she hugged him, backing away after a second when she remembered that he was soaked. "So, we're friends again?"
Jack nodded and smiled. "Of course, and just friends; I know you and Finn have a lot of feelings for each other."
"Thanks, Jack, and I know that one day you'll find a girl you deserve," Hannalynn smiled.
"Thank you, Hanna," Jack hugged her for a quick second before waving goodbye heading back to his house, feeling glad that everything was somewhat back to what it was once before.

hannalynnmonroe: i'm usually not one to post these kinds of twitter announcements, but because people will eventually start nasty rumors on the internet, i want to stop them ahead of time with facts: jack and i broke up, but we are still very close friends and bandmates. we hope you will still continue to support us individually and as a band with our fellow band members, and to not spread rumors about any of this. thanks for your love and support guys ❤️
