REAL LIFE
"Okay, where are we?" Hannalynn asked as she stumbled down the road with a blindfold around her eyes, one hand in Finn's as he guided her.
"You can look now," Finn said with a small laugh as he took off her blindfold. Hannalynn's eyes went wide as she saw the Hollywood sign up and in front of her, and a small picnic blanket with a basket on top next to Finn.
"I know we're not like directly under the sign, but this is close as we're gonna get," Finn laughed and stuffed his hands in his pockets. "I hope you like this as our first date."
"I love it!" Hannalynn grinned and threw her arms around Finn. "Thank you so much, you're so sweet."
"I'm glad you love it," Finn smiled and took her hand before sitting down with her. He opened up the basket and handed her some of the food and snacks he packed. While they ate, they chatted about their lives and had deep conversations on certain topics, which brought the two even closer by the end of the evening.
"This has been an amazing night, Finn," Hannalynn said as she laid on the blanket next to Finn while looking up at the stars in the night sky, her hand holding his.
"It's not over yet, Han," Finn gave her a small wink before standing up. "Come on."
"Where are we going now?" Hannalynn giggled as she followed him down the road.
"You'll see... once our Uber driver gets here," Finn replied. They waited a few minutes before getting driven into town, Finn leading her through a shopping plaza until they reached a restaurant similar to the one they went to back in Toronto for their double date. There were stringed lights hanging above them, and a few stringed instrumentalists playing their soft music in the background.
"This is beautiful," Hannalynn admired. Finn held out a hand and smiled at her as he said, "Care for a dance, my city girl?"
"I'd love to, my city boy," Hannalynn took his hand and placed the other on his shoulder as his other hand rested on her waist. The two danced to the beautiful music, Finn occasionally stepping on Hannalynn's toes by accident and causing her to wince but laugh at the same time. Although their moment may not have been perfect to everybody else, it was perfect to them; and that's all that mattered to the young city boy and city girl.
