Chapter 12: Gone

Twilight's POV

That was horrible. Pinkie had fainted and we don't know why. The nurse told us that she thinks she fainted from shock. Rainbow didn't look very happy either. She looked angry and annoyed. She carried Pinkie all the way here and the whole time she looked like she was lost in thought. Right now she's sitting on the nurse bed looking at Pinkie who had an ice pack over her eye. She got up and went outside and sat on the chair next to the door of the nurse's office. I decided to follow her and see if she was okay.

"Rainbow?" I sat on the chair next to her.

"Oh...hey Twilight." She said it so dull that it practically dug through my soul. I don't know how to explain it.

"Are you okay? I don't like seeing you like this...it's...depressing." I looked down.

"It's just because Pinkie is like this. Everything is so...sad when she's not around. She makes everyone happy. It's my fault this happened to her. I honestly don't know why anyone would do this to her except Jolly. That stupid bitch! I know it was her I just need proof to get her. How am I gonna do that? I don't know. And I need to find Fluttershy! She's never gone this long. We've been here for two periods!"

"First of all, no, you being sad had to do with it too. Second, it isn't your fault. This could've happened even if you weren't the..."

"Sorry to interrupt Twi, but that would never have happened if I was there. I would never let that happen!"

"But..." I sighed and put my hand on her leg. "Dash, it isn't your fault. And let me continue. Third, how do you know it was Jolly? What makes you think it was her?" Rainbow sighs and looks at me, thinking. She sighed again and put her hand on mine. It was warm.

"Because I...Twilight I...um... Well, I was with Pinkie cause I stormed out of the classroom cause the teacher made me mad and I took her with me. So we went to the bathroom and Pinkie kinda helped me feel better about what the teacher said."

"Wait...what did the teacher say?" She took her hand off mine...dang it...and looked down.

"Well, we were playing around and the teacher got mad. Then Pinkie saw Jolly and we traded seats so I could hide but I didn't know why yet. She said we were clear and I asked her what was going on. She said something about a girl that we used to know and she totally explained Jolly. I told her the name and she grabbed my cheeks playfully and pretended to be sad for me that I still remembered her. I then laughed and grabbed her hands and took them off my face. I guess the teacher heard me cause he was glaring at us standing right behind Pinkie. He saw me holding her hands and started saying all these rude things...he thought we were doing something. I mean, we did have the books up. Then Pinkie tried to say something and he shouted at her which startled her. I didn't like that he scared her so with everything he had said...I...I grabbed Pinkie and kissed her then pulled her out of the classroom and we went to the bathroom before I killed that guy..."

"Oh...so you kissed her...have you done something like that in front of him before that made him think that?"

"What? No. I just wanted to make the teacher madder than he already was. Then Pinkie kind of helped me out and told me a bunch of encouraging things. It gave me the confidence to go and...look for you. Then Jolly practically tried to tackle me and she kissed me and wouldn't let me go. Then you walked by..."

"And...are you okay?"

"No...and now Fluttershy went missing. So we have two friends in trouble and it's my fault." I put my hand on her shoulder and pull her in for a hug.

"Everything will be fine. And like I said before, It's not your fault. It's that crazy maniac!"

"I know what the butterflies were saying now."

"What? What are you talking about?" We pull away from the hug and she looks at me with a smile.

She started to get closer and pulled me in and kissed me. I was shocked! Terrified! I didn't know what to do! Do I push her off? Do I kiss her back? Um...uh...

Rainbow's POV

She kissed me back! I can't believe I did that but I'm glad I did. She had her hand on my lap and the other on my arm, which was around her. Did we stay like that for...maybe twenty seconds? Seconds that I will always remember...when did I get so sappy?

We pulled back and stared at each other for a while then I heard Applejack call me. I'm guessing Pinkie's awake now.

"I'm gonna go see what they need me...for." I smile and laugh nervously.

"Yea go ahead. I'll wait here...thinking." I go inside and go over to AJ.

"So what's going o...where's Pinkie?"

"Uh...she's under the bed...on her phone. She looks scared." Rarity agrees.

"We asked her who she's calling and she keeps mumbling something about Fluttershy," Rarity says, looking under the bed. I look under it with her and Pinkie freezes and slowly turns to us...which kind of freaked me out a bit. She pushed me, making me fall and ran out. She looked back for a second and looked like she was on the verge of crying. She ran out of the room and Applejack ran after her. I went outside and looked in the direction they went. I turned to where Twilight was sitting and...she's gone?!
