Bradley Jones:
I was walking with my head down in the hallway. Everything was exactly the same as the day before. This was my daily routine; just walking with my head down, ignoring the stares that I always get.
It had always been like this. Ever since that day in 7th grade, my life had been a nightmare. People had been teasing me, picking on me and bullying me.
That was a normal day for me. It had been like this forever and I couldn’t take it anymore. I had had enough, but what could I do? It was my own fault anyways.
It all started in 7th grade. My biggest nightmare started in 7th grade that was the day I found out that I hated myself and I couldn’t do anything about it. And after that I realized that everyone else hated me too. They hated me, because of who I was, they hated me because of what I said. And they hated me because of who I liked.
It all happened so fast, but so slow too. The rumors spread quickly, but the pain came slowly and it built itself up inside me until I couldn’t handle it anymore.
But thankfully this was my last day at this school, or should I say last day in hell..
“Look at him! He’s a disgrace to his family!” I heard someone say, but I didn’t dare to look. I had been taught better and I knew I should mind my own business. I knew that the jocks were better than me, because I was once one of them. They could crush you if they wanted to and if they targeted you, then there was no turning back. If you had done them wrong, you couldn’t beg for forgiveness.
They owned you and if you didn’t do what you were told, then you were dead to them.
I was one of those you could call “The dead”; they were the ones who had been begging for forgiveness, they were the ones who had done them wrong and they were the ones like me.
I was just grateful that I was moving to another school, but the bad news was that it wasn’t that far from here. Actually it was our rival school that was about 20 miles from here, but it was better than not moving at all.

I was back at home packing for tomorrow. I had already packed the important stuff like; my clothes, my priced possessions and my pictures.
It was just some last minute packing, like packing your toothbrush. I threw myself on my bed and blew a raspberry. I couldn’t wait for tomorrow, hopefully I could start fresh and make myself an image. I could be the person I wanted to be, not the guy who was a disgrace to his family.
Don’t get me wrong, my parents love me and their not ashamed of me. People just think they are, but they aren’t.
Alright I figured since I couldn’t sleep I would introduce myself.
My name is Bradley Jones and I’m 17 years old.
I live with my parents and my big brother Brendan.
He’s 18 and a senior. He isn’t very happy about moving, but he did it for me and I am forever grateful.
But there is one more thing that you should know about me; I’m gay.
My name is Bradley Jones and I’m gay.
