What happened previously?

“My turn again.” He smiled and put two fingers on his chin to make him look like he was deep in thought.

“What’s your darkest secret?” He smirked and I gulped in fear. I was not prepared for this! What should I say? Do I admit? Should I tell a lie? But then I would be just like Ryan and Chaz

God, please help me.

A Deal’s A Deal

My eyes widened in fear and I looked down while I scratched the back of my neck.

“You’re doing it again.” He suddenly said and I looked up in confusion and curiosity. What did he mean by that?

“What?”

“You’re scratching the back of your neck; you do it a lot actually, especially when you’re nervous.”  He stated and I raised my eyebrow.

“Oh, I didn’t know that?”

“Well, now you do and you still have to answer my question.”

I felt like I couldn’t breathe, couldn’t think, I don’t think I could do anything at the moment. I was in shock and my mind was blank. I don’t know what to do, I mean he’ll hate me if I lie and he finds out, and he’ll hate me if I tell the truth. Maybe I should just avoid the question and tell him I need to go home? Yeah that sounds like a plan.

“You know I gotta go man, uhm my mom needs me home.” I said and then started walking away from him when he suddenly called my name. I turned and saw him walking towards me.

“Brad, you do realize that you didn’t even check your phone and how do you plan to go home?” He asked me and I craned my neck to the side and rubbed it in frustration.

“I’ll just walk and my mom needs me home now, because of how late it is.”

“Now you’re just making excuses. When people come up with answers to your questions really fast, that means they’re lying.” He told me, and I was shocked. How did he know all of that? I mean was I really that predictable? Or was it just everyone in general?

“I’m sorry I need to go.” I said and turned to walk away.

“Brad, the whole point of going here was to get to know each other, so why are you running away from me when I try to get to know you?” His outburst made me stop walking.

“Why don’t you want me to know you? Every time I try to ask you a question, you somehow manage to turn it around to me.” I was literally in shock. I mean I didn’t push him away did I? I didn’t do it on purpose.

“No I don’t.”

“Don’t deny it Brad, you push people away and you can’t even tell me why?”

“There is no, why, because I don’t push people away.” My face hardened when I realized that he was just doing this to get into my head. God, he was one smart cookie.

“Why Brad? Why do you push me away?”

“I don’t.”

“Tell me.”

“NO.” I said sternly and he stared at me for a moment.

“So there is something to tell? You just don’t want to?”

“That’s not what I said.” Now I was confused?

“Come on Brad, tell me.” I felt the pressure coming off him and I felt myself choke up. I couldn’t look into those beautiful hazel-eyes when I told him the truth, but I dared myself to. I looked up and I stared into his gorgeous eyes; those black pupils, the golden ring around them and at last the flooding golden-hazel that surrounded all of it.
