Lizzie expected that Miańè would try running away. Lizzie expected that she would leave her room's door wide open. She expected that she would forget her own watch and phone on her table.
She also expected that she would wear the wrong shoes in her hurry to get out.
What she didn't expect, was the fact Miańè would trip and fall flat on her face one step outside her doorway.
And knock herself out cold.
Lizzie let out a sigh as she bent to pick her up.
