Regina stared up at Killian as he put his sword away, and the tavern resumed its pleasant atmosphere. The Captain looked at Regina, after she let go of his coat, and she bit her lip anxiously. "I think that's enough entertainment for one night," he said.

Regina looked like a codfish with her mouth open and her eyes wide at him. "Come along," He said taking her arm again and leading her out of the tavern.

"Why did you stop him taking me?" She blurted out. He furrowed his brow down at her. "I said so, no one takes what's mine and that reward is mine," he said flatly. "You should consider yourself lucky he didn't take you," he said, changing his tone.

She looked up at him, "They seemed harsh," she commented. "Blackbeard and his men would have indeed taken you in every way," he said softly, dipping his head.

"And you won't?" She asked timidly. He halted, and looked down at her, "No, I won't. I've had my share of women, but all have been willing. I don't believe in forcing myself on a woman in the intimate sense." He said sincerely. "And I wouldn't allow my crew on my watch either," he said firmly.

Regina nodded, and remained silent as they reached the ship once more.

Regina's POV

I couldn't figure this man out. The rage that came over him when that man grabbed me, it wasn't about the gold, I could tell. There was something else. His men were still out, and we got back on the empty ship deck.

He pressed his fingers gently at my bodice around my ribs, "Does this hurt here?" He asked. "No," I shook my head. The man had squeezed me but it only lasted a moment of pain, I was more afraid than anything.

"That wasn't about the reward," She spat out bravely. He rolled his eyes at her, "You just want to keep pushing me huh?" he asked. "You said things are not always what they seem," She repeated his words.

He sighed, "Do I need to punish you?" He warned. She shivered at him, and decided she wanted to know things, "Were these her clothes?" She asked. He scoffed a laugh, and shook his head.

"Let's go," He took her arm and headed down below deck with her. "You need to learn some patience, lass," He said sternly entering his quarters. "Against the wall," he scolded.

"Hands against the wall," he specified. She pouted momentarily, and watched him remove his belt. The welts on her behind were somewhat healed. "You'll find things out in due time lass, you don't get to ask questions," he said strictly.

She looked at him pitifully, "Now!" He scolded harshly and she placed her hands against the wall. Coming behind her, he lifted the skirt, and removed her bloomers. She started to cry.

"Oh hush, I don't want to hear it," he snapped. "You're going to count, each one, and say Captain after each," he said.

He stood to her left, and held the strap in his right hand. He pressed his hook across her midsection pushing her to bend a bit, making her bottom protrude out more. "Now," he spoke and lashed her behind.

"Ah! ONE! Captain," She yelped.

The crack of the leather came again, "Two, Captain!" She started to well up with tears.

Another cut of the leather against her behind, "Three! Captain!"

Another, and another, "FIVE! CAPTAIN!" She cried out loudly with tears down her cheeks. "Ok," he stopped.

She bent down lifting her bloomers back up and dropping her skirt, as she sniffled.

Regina's POV

That hurt. Even though the other welts had been fading, and the warm water had relieved them a lot, it still hurt a lot. The Five lashes he gave me were very strong. Asking questions I guess just gets me in trouble with him. I could still sense something though, but I guess if I want to sit down I won't ask. I couldn't help it, I just sobbed, like a baby, come on Regina, you're tougher than this. I couldn't help it though.

Looking up at him, his face was stern, as he reattached his belt. She choked on her tears, "Calm down, it wasn't that bad compared to prior punishment, this was a warning," he said.

Regina couldn't stop crying, "Shh shh," he cooed at her, catching her eyes. Regina caught her breath at his soothing tone, "Shhh," he said once more as she stared at him. "Wasn't that bad," he said again gently. "Now, you'll behave, and I'll let you stay in here, alright?" He asked. "Yes Sir," she choked out.

"Good," he nodded, "Get a hold of yourself, and calm down, deep breaths," he said in a soothing tone.

As he walked away, with his head down, he answered her earlier question, "And no, they weren't hers, I got them for you," He said. He left the room, and locked the door, and she heard his steps go back above deck.

Regina's POV

He was so calming when he was shushing me. His eyes just looked so kind and caring to me as I cried. I no longer felt embarrassed that he saw my bare behind, I was more embarrassed that he just saw me break down. He wasn't cruel though, he could have kept going with the belt, but he didn't. He could have mocked my emotions, but he didn't and he let me stay in the comfortable space. He got me clothes too, just for me.

I laid down in his bed, uncomfortable of course, and I actually missed him. What was wrong with me? I felt safe with him, I couldn't understand why, but I just did.

Killian's POV

What the hell is wrong with you? You know you can't. Why is she so innocent? So sweet, so curious. That bastard just touching her made my blood boil. I felt myself leaping over the damn table just to get to her. What those bastards would do to her, over my dead body.

As the evening went on, Killian's men began to return to the ship. He headed below deck and slowly unlocked the Captain's quarters. Regina looked at him, as he entered. He quirked his head, "Well you didn't fall asleep," he observed.

She shrugged at him. "Mm cat got your tongue now?" He teased. "No, I just..." she stuttered. "Just are aware of your punishment and that the Captain is in charge," he said, smoothly and sat in the chair across from the bed.

She nodded agreeing with him. "You're still a little fighter though aren't you?" He asked. "I was afraid," she admitted. He looked at her tenderly, "Of the man? I could tell, you were clutching my coat behind me," he reminded.

Regina couldn't help but blush about him seeing her afraid, "It's alright to be afraid you know, what's interesting, you don't seem afraid of me, anymore," he tilted his head, musing at her.

She stared at him, "I'm not afraid of you," she shrugged at him, nibbling her lower lip. He smirked, "Mmm, I think you're only afraid of my strap," he said.

"Maybe... Sir.." She said softly. "You should sleep," he said. Regina sighed, and couldn't deny that she felt safer with him in the room. She curled herself into his bed swaddling herself in the blankets again, he smiled as he watched her tuck herself in.
