We finished setting up camp and decontamination stations after 4 hours. Then we did some research on the air, soil, water, and plants. The air and water was safe. The soil was rich in nutrients, more that Earth. The air had a little bit more oxygen than Earth, but other than that it was safe to breath so we removed our helmets. The ocean waters had less salt and the plants absorb more water than those back home. Although, the Ocean had acid in it. But it was super low, it had enough for it to register as pool water. Now for us to find what we came for. Signs of life.
"Do you seriously think we'll find life?" Alexander's eyes sparkled as he asked. "That'd be rad!" He jumped around, tripping over something. "Oof!" He grunted. The next thing I know, Alexander was screaming. "L-Let go!!" He cried. "Noisy!" Alexander was thrown at us, landing on the red Martian like dirt with a thud.
He groaned laying there for a few moments. "What was that?!" Amelia started running after it. "Amelia no—!" I reached out to her before she was thrown too. Stuart took a step out and I put my arm out, the palm of my hand on his breast bone. "No, your bullied enough by Christopher, we don't need you bullied by a creature." He looked at me as I pulled my hand back. "Right then...." Stuart cleared his throat and went to help the thrown people. "What is that?.." Violet asked. Right as she asked the creature slithered forward. It was lavender with bright blue eyes and black claws and pink scale like things on it's back. "Oo'kaan see you. Oo'kaan will tell Oo'kaan's people." It or, Oo'kaan hissed as it slithered quickly to a deep dark valley a few miles in the distance.
"Well that was exciting." Stuart shrugged. I looked over the horizon. The light grapefruit coloured sun set in the orange sky. Funny, the sun was actually blue in the high sky but didn't effect the light of the planet. It was beautiful. I could barely wait to populate this planet.
