[Ron]
I was standing and waiting for Hermione to arrive. Like we decided, our wedding colours were scarlet and gold. The whole tent was lit with tiny orbs of light, which only I, Hermione and Harry were aware of what they actually meant. Then I saw her coming, Hermione who was walking down the aisle. God, she was looking so so so beautiful. Bloody hell! Her thick and bushy hair, her beautiful smile, her shiny chocolate brown eyes, her adorably small figure. God, I can't wait to marry her. She is just a few steps away, but with each small step she takes, I grow more and more impatient. She is just, bloody hell, she looks so beautiful in that gown.
"Be patient Ron!" Harry, who also happens to be my best man, said to me. As I turned to look at him, he was smilimg warmly at me. I just smiled back.
Slowly, killing me with impatience with each step, Hermione finally reached me and his father handed over her hands to me, and when she came near me, it was like all others became invisible to me, I had no care in the world about anybody else.
I. Am. So. Lucky.
And then, much to my dismay, I saw that she was crying. I wiped her tears with my thumbs and kissed her forehead.
"Hey, hey Mione, please don't cry. Please."
She nodded and then smiled. Relief flooded over me. Her smile. I think it is safe to say that her smile has captivated me forever.
We exchange or vows and then its time for ring cermony. Teddy (Ted Lupin) is our ring bearer. I got Hermione's ring custom made which is engraved with the words,
'Swish and Flick!'
Her face literally lit up. She smiled, her eyes shone and became glassy, but this time, I can bet they were tears of joy.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
This was going to be our first kiss a married couple, our first kiss as husband and wife. But, Mione is not a big fan of PDA. We both leaned in, and I slowly kissed her soft and pink lips, gently. Sparks erupted from the spot our lips met. When I pulled away, we both grinned.
Some time later, the after party started, we had been mingling with our guests, everyone congratulating us. And now it was time to cut the cake. Yummy! Cake is always nice.
It was chocolate flavoured cake wih vanilla icing and a doll of a husband and wife on the top. We cut the cake together while everyone cheered and clapped for us. Before we could eat however, I put some cake on Mione's nose and said,
"You've got cake on your nose, by the way, did you know?"
She just chuckled at me whilst shaking her head and I grinned and she pecked me on the cheek. I don't know when the time passed but it was now time for toasts and the bestman's speech.
"So, I have heard there's a rule about best friends that they never let each other marry a ginger. Hermione, I think we both failed."
We all laughed.
"Honestly, I knew all along that these two were going to end up togeher. They have loved each other long long long before they realised it themselves. They used to fight so much when they met. Remeber that class when Professor Flitwick taught us about Wingardium Leviosa? How much you two argued. Which eventually led to that troll incident, which was the mark of our friendship. Don't even get me started on Crookshanks and Scabbers. And over the years they grew to be best friends, then to lovers. I mean like I had my suspisions before, but by fourth year, before Yule Ball, I was damn sure they are in love with each other."
We just smiled looking at each other. God, I am so lucky.
Then Hermione's dad something which surprised me,
"The day Hermione's first letter arrived, complaining about a red haired boy who teased her, me and my wife knew at that moment that at some point, they were going to get together."
Merlin's beard!
A lot of words were exchanged, which refreshed a lot of memories.
"So, when did you two really fall for each other?" Ginny asked.
Me and Hermione just looked at each other and raised our eyebrows.
Hermione was the first to reply.
"Ummm... In third year."
"When exactly in third year?"
"When I accidently caught Ron's hand during the Care for Mgical Creatures class, when Harry was dealing with... the hippogriff." She said and blushed a deep shade of read and kind of tried to hide her face.
She. Is. So. Cute.
I raised her head by her chin and brought my face near her and whispered in her ear,
"Don't try to hide from me, you look cute while blushing."
This made her blush even more red, if that was possible. I saw a shiver run down her spine. Good to see that I have this kind of effect on her.
"Big bro, you have to answer too."
Ginny's voice bought me to the reality. I gulped. Looks like she is not going to go easy on me.
"Me too, third year."
"Why do you two answer in so brief? When exactly in third year?"
I sighed.
"When she punched Malfoy on the nose. I thought it was cool."
We looked at each other and smiled.
After some time we started dancing, my hand on her waist, her arms around my neck. Staring deep into her eyes, I got lost in her chocolate brown ones.
By the end of the night, we were positively drunk.
