[Hermione]

I was sitting at the dinning table, looking outside the window and waiting for Ron to come back. So much has changed since we met. We used to argue so much, we still do. And now here we are, happily married with one daughter. Little Rose is at her Aunt and Uncle's house. Without her laughing and running around, the house just feels so... empty. It's been more than an year since she was born, but it feels impossible to imagine life without her. Ron sometimes works till very late, with him being an auror and all. I guess today is one of those days. Eventually I fell asleep waiting.

The sound of the door opening woke me up. I looked up and saw Ron entering. He smiled and I smiled back too.

"Hey," I said.

"Hey."

"Long day at work?"

"Yeah, you could say that."

I got up and he pulled me into his warm embrace. And to this day, his strong arms are my favourite place.

"I am so tired," he mumbled and I smiled.

He kissed my cheek.

"Where's Rosie?"

"She is with Ginny and Harry for tonight."

"Oh, okay."

After he took a shower and we ate dinner, we went to bed.

............

"Wait, All except the mudblood."

My heart was pounding my chest. I don't want to die.

But will I do it so Harry and Ron can escape?

Yes.

A million times yes.

"CRUCIO!"

I could do nothing but scream and cry.

I just want the pain to end.

Dying doesn't seem like a bad option. Anything is better than this.

............

I don't know exactly how much time later, I woke up screaming. After all these years, I still had the nightmare about Bellatrix at Malfoy Manor. Ron calling for me was what woke me up.

I was sweating and my breathing was erratic. My heart was beating loudly in my chest.

A thought popped up in my head.

It was a dream. I am alive and I am safe.

"Mione, are you alright?" Ron asked his hands moving my hair out of my face.

"Ron- I.... me - Bellatr-"

"Shh... Calm down. Its alright, you're safe. Nothing's wrong," Ron said rubbing my back.

It took Ron awhile to calm me down, but I finally did after sometime.

"I am sorry, I just-"

"It isn't your fault," he said gently.

"I woke you up too," I said, guilt filling me up.

He kissed my forehead.

"It doesn't matter."

"It do-"

"No arguements. Now sleep," he ordered.

Years later, and I still wouldn't change a thing.
