I pulled back from the hug and jumped to my backpack, and unzipped the main pouch.

"What are you doing?" I heard him say from behind me.

"I have gauze, it will help stop the bleeding." I reach to the bottom of the bag and pull out the roll of gauze.

"You really don't have to."

"Yes I do, and if I don't I will never forgive myself if you bleed out." There was now blood all the way down his arm. "Take off your sweatshirt so I can wrap your arm." He took off his sweatshirt and he was wearing a black t-shirt underneath. His whole arm was stained red from blood.

The gash on his arm wasn't too deep, but it was deep enough to bleed, a lot. He looked like he was in a lot of pain, but tried to hide it so I wouldn't freak out.

I finished wrapping his wound in gauze and stepped back. "Thank you," he said.

"It is literally the least I can do." I picked up my knife, and put it into my bag. "I'm really sorry about your arm, again."

"It's fine," he said with a giggle in his voice, "You only did it in self defense," he said smiling.

I absolutely loved his smile. It was just as beautiful as his eyes. When he smiled, you knew he was happy. It wasn't fake.

I threw my backpack onto my back, "I should get going, would you like to join me? I could always use an extra set of hands, and eyes."

"What can possibly go wrong?" He said, still smiling, "Of course I will come, I would love to!"
